Oh was about to post that I can't get my challenge rewards and found this thread. Now I don't even know whether I got the gold or not. I might have. If the change is just you don't have that extra redundant step to get the gold then that's great.
But the text on the "Challenges" box itself still says:
"Completed challenges will be visible in the "Pickup Rewards" tab!".
If nothing else, this is something that should be fixed, as they're not visible in that tab, and are still visible in the "Current" tab, so the text is incorrect.
(Though please work on the quest mode card feats bug and the ally who banishes your whole hand first, I'm too scared to play the game at all while those are active!)
I can confirm that I got a +100 gold popup (the same as the +2/+3 when defeating monsters) when I completed a challenge mid mission.
But yeah, I too was confused by the change back to old behavior and no note in the changelog (or change to UI tex)

He just put in the wrong description. He meant recharged
And i was thinking about it and i still think its the combat check not the soldier thats wrong
Since they auto default on the combat check to the strength die without letting us choose if we want to use the possible 1d4 for unskilled melee
I would think everyone has the hidden power "for your combat check you may roll your strength or melee skill" and tacked on the melee trait to it
Edit where it should be "for your combat check you may roll your strength or melee skill, if you used the melee skill add the melee trait"
It's not just that it defaults to "strength/melee".
I used.... Kyra I think with Holy Light, and the soldier recharged for a boost. The check at the top just said "combat" but when I clicked the dropdown to try to change types, the only option was Combat-Divine. And I was definitely getting my divine bonus.
(It's possible it was Seoni and an Arcane Deck B->2 spell, but pretty sure it was Kyra)

I know there are a lot of bugs with mending but I didn't see this one.
Seelah had a "Longsword +1" in her discard pile.
Then she cast Improved Mending to return it to her hand.
She recharged Improve Mending.
[Now I'm at what I'll call "Position A"]
I wanted to force the recharging of some of her armor so I hit the "discard" icon for ending the turn. I discarded a card(forget which) then recharged armor.
At that point I realized I didn't _want_ to discard the other card, so I hit cancel to put me back to "Position A".
I got the discarded card back, I got the armor back, I got put back in my main turn, and..... my Longsword +1 went back to my discard pile (but Improved Mending was still recharged).
Somehow the return of the Longsword +1 got stuck in the "cancel" stack for the end of turn?

It's a spell that lets me move another character to another location.
If I use it before I explore to move another character, I lose my explore for the turn.
I can still use blessings or allies to gain additional explores.
I do not see on the card anything saying end turn after making the move... I do see the second line saying it may be used at the end of my turn to make a move for the character with the card in their hand.
Working as intended, or bug?
I've encountered this bug with stride.
Also with Cape of Escape I think.

I'm not buying the bundles on principle, but I'll note they're much more likely to seduce people if Obsidian manages to devise some system where players are capable of directly obtaining the boons when they start the appropriate AD. For example, if the bundle Treasure is AD4, after I finish 4-1, on the same interface that I get Loot Scenario Rewards, I should get another round of cards - Barbarian Bundle Rewards - where the game drops on me all AD4 Treasures that came from a Bundle.
As it is, I'll be paying 10 bucks for 2 cool cards that I may not even encounter in my play-through! (And yes, some other random cards from chests but they're not the Bundle incentive after all...)
I agree with Longshot here.

The "solution" is to wait for the fix. I suspect that it will be in 1.1.5.2 but that it might delay the release of 1.1.5.2. Not that we have a patch schedule to compare against for "delays"
I have been able to work around the linked issue (in quest mode) by going to main menu and trying again, sometimes with a different order of characters to pick powers.
It has taken more than one try.
This may or may not work for you, but I did have to do it 3 or 4 times once when 4 characters earned power feats at the same time.
-
This one is a real showstopper...
I have been able to get past this by backing out of quest mode to main menu, hitting continue, and trying again.
Once it took me 3 total tries.
I think I also try different orders between characters each time.
I'm not saying that's acceptable, but if you want a potential workaround...

So why haven't we seen reports of issues with Seelah? I regularly have more than 3 cards in my "Examine" pile (Seelah seems to find the Villain at the bottom of the Location Deck, so those boons just keep accumulating at the bottom). I'll keep an eye open for it.
Or is it just the reveal/arrange that causes the issue?
Unsure. I had it happen with 3 cards on the bottom (Brodert Quink), 1 unknown card in the middle, and an examined card on top, and instead of sorting 3 left, 1 middle, 1 right, it sorted them all to the right.
But it definitely isn't just the Quill.

So, probably it stems from the assumption that all characters will be at the last open Stone Head location (due to the Stone Head's on closing power - to move to another open Stone Head).
However, off-turn I used the Cape of Escape with Sajan to go to a "closed" Stone Head (why? 'cause have to bury 15 cards, man!). When the last Stone Head was closed, all others at it were forced into the Sihedron Circle, but Sajan was left all alone and crying in the snow.
(Yeah, I know you probably hate me for this edge-case
I had almost all of my characters elsewhere - Amiri had dragged them off. And they didn't move either.

Seelah encountered Jordimandus and after defeating the summoned monster was offered the choice to go for Diplomacy or Arcane/Combat. I knew Seelah had an adequate charisma so I considered the Diplomacy option.
Issue #1:
I could not check her power/stats while this option was up. I wanted to look more closely to see if it was a good idea, but I could not look at anything here. However, this issue would be a minor UI problem if it weren't for issue #2.
Issue #2:
I selected "Diplomacy" and then got an option to discard. At this point I was able to check her and realize that while she does have good Charisma, she lacks the Diplomacy skill, so everything would be a d4. I wanted to cancel and go back to selecting Combat/Arcane but that was not an option.
Given that no dice have been rolled and no hidden information has been revealed, I feel like we should be allowed to undo the choice of Combat/Arcane vs. Diplomacy and make the choice again.

Today I used Lini's Beast Form to change Dex die against a Satyr. The die changed to d10, so nothing strange until then. The problem is that I discarded a Favor of the Gods to use her ability and, after using it, I couldn't use the other Favor of the Gods that she had in her hand, as if she had already used a blessing to power herself up.
I had something very similar, except in my case it gave me the extra dice as if I had used the blessing.
That is, it changed my die to a D10, and then added a second D10 (as if I had played the blessing)
Mine was not a blessing of the gods - I think it was a blessing of Desna.
In this case the bug worked entirely in my favor. I got to spend 1 blessing as if it were 2 cards.

See this post, for example (it also has links to others)
https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/89796-belts-of-dexterity-strength-issue-and-others/
Note that you can use the belt and then manually change the check and you'll get the net +1, it's just easy to forget about.

Ezren was at (I think) the mountain Peak. On top of his deck (previously examined) was a unique henchman(the giant with the blue glow on his arms - forget his name - I only mention he was unique so I can be sure I encountered _him_).
Harsk started his turrn at the warrents. Ezren used Scrying, selected "Monster", then I decided to cancel Scrying. I had to do a vault-round-trip to fully cancel (to get back to the "select card type" UI and cancel that as well). When I was done cancelling, Harsk explored (the warrens), and suddenly he encountered the henchman that was on top of Ezren's deck.
He defeated it, and did his check to close, and closed The Warrens(where Harsk was, not where the henchman was)

The Ancient Library on Normal Difficulty, on a Galaxy Note 12.2, with Android 6.
After defeating the Forgefiend at the Treacherous Cave, Kyra was dealt 1d4-1 damage. I could not find any other source for the damage, so I suppose it must be the Forgefiend's power to deal damage when defeated in Melee. ("If the check to defeat the Forgefiend has the Melee trait, after you act, the Forgefiend deals 1d4-1 Fire damage to you").
Kyra was alone at the location, and used Holy Light, supported by a recharged Acolyte, a Blessing of Sarenrae (recharged afterwards due to Dawnlowers Favor) and a Longbow shot from Valeros to defeat the Forgefiend. As far as I can tell, none of those have the Melee trait. Did I miss another possible source of damage, or why was the damage dealt?
Also, Kyra discarded her Sihedron Medallion to deal with the damage, and was not given the chance to recharge it, not sure whether this is related.
Your Sihedron Medallion problem is a feature, not a bug. Damage from the Forgefiend cannot be reduced, so Sihedron Medallion would be discarded the way any other card would be for damage.
Not sure about the rest - is there a power for Valeros that gives his ranged weapons the Melee trait?
I got confused by this as well. Feels like there should be some UI indicating that you can't reduce the damage - you're "discarding to damage" rather than "discarding for effect".

Strangely, ALSO on Jorgenfist, I defeated a Harpy Monk in the throne room and did *not* get a prompt to close.
So something seems up with location closing in Jorgenfist.
-
I can confirm this bug with Galenmir.
-
I encountered this bug as well.
I also had 3 characters encounter Galenmir, and my second character(Valeros) took "1d4 PLUS 1" damage. When it got to the third character, it was back to 1d4-1.

Jorgenfist (AD4-2) Heroic, Encountered a Carrionstorm and won the combat check. Due to scenario power, rolled a 1d6 and got a 1, so it was "undefeated". It did not return to the top of the deck, instead it was shuffled in(like a regular monster)
-
Ezren had a Robe of Energy Resistance in his hand and took a fair amount of damage(don't remember how much) and used the Bury/Discard power to reduce damage to 0. He didn't have light armor proficiency but was still able to discard rather than bury.
This was either AD4-1 or AD4-2 on Heroic.
-
Yeah the issue here is we change the check to help you out, but we don't communicate the switch. We'll work on making this less confusing.
Except... you changed the check and made it worse?

iPad Air
Was playing AD4 - Scenario 1 on Heroic (whenever someone encounters a normal monster, some poor sap has to fight Longtooth)
Ezren encountered a "Ghoul Bat" (magic cards get buried during the encounter)
Rules / Bug:
Valeros got stuck with Longtooth. He attempted to reveal a shield of fire resistance to block the damage. It got buried. I can only assume this was because it was "magic" and the ghoul bat was around. However, should it really apply when he wasn't the one encountering it?
Same thing with the weapon he used.
Definitely a bug:
Ezren played a spell to beat the ghoul bat, and that was able to be recharged(wasn't auto-buried). Sounds like the "Ghoul Bat" powers applied to Longtooth instead of the bat.
The bug part (not the rules/bug part) might be a duplicate of:

iPad Air
Harsk had a ranged combat check on an enemy - revealed Snakeskin tunic and instead of getting +1, got -2, because the check type changed from Ranged to Combat. Happens every time I try it.
I can correct it by changing the type back to Ranged and now I have the full benefit, but that gets pretty irritating to remember.

Enchanter doesn't do AYA damage
in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Posted
Just happened to me today too - Ipad Air
AD 6-2
Seelah encountered enchantress, took the force damage. Won the encounter, no fire damage(had a breastplate of fire resistance all ready to recharge)
Was at one of the locations in AD 6-2 on a 4 player map, I think the one where you have to defeat a Bandit(+2) to close. No special location power that should have affected it.
