Go Rangers/Devils. Going into the WCF I was thinking I would root for the winner. I generally like seeing teams win who have never won before. But I will projectile vomit if Brown touches the cup.
Not sure how I feel about the series as a whole. The better team did win. The officiating was absolutely horrendous. Dustin Brown is a piece of garbage and Mike Smith is losing me as a fan with his antics. The ending sucked. I was hoping the last game would be at home, so we could give the Coyotes a proper sendoff. Instead they saluted the fans to a chorus of boos and the band wagoners known as Phoenix sports fans throwing garbage at the Kings and the officials. Embarrassing.
It was an amazing season which I will have lots of good memories from, but if this is to be the end to the Phoenix Coyotes, the last couple minutes are not really worth remembering.

Eight months ago I purchased a Roger Waters presale ticket for Tuesdays concert. It has to be picked up within a few hours of the event (to keep scalpers out of the presale). I have a ticket to WCF game 2 that same night. I can't make both and I can realistically only sell the ticket to the game. I am not sure which event I would rather attend. The heart says the WCF, but I have not had the opportunity to see The Wall live and likely never will again.
I hate this. I have been stressing out over it for 2 days.
Also, Rangers in 6, Kings in 7 (because picking the other team in 7 worked out so well last time.)

Course, that smiley will jynx it all.
I am not really enjoying these playoffs that much. I was enjoying going to Coyotes games more in December when the team was not doing well. Even as I spend more money on Coyotes stuff (playoff tickets, renewed season tickets, new jersey, etc) I am trying to emotionally detach myself from the team because I am expecting the worst. It all just feels like a numbing experience.

I am not sure what to make of this yet. I will know what to make of it when Malkin/Ovechkin/Neal/Hartnell give an elbow to the head, injure them, then get no more than 3 games.
Things will be fine if the Torres suspension sets some sort of precedent. I completely expect the era of nothing suspensions to return in the next 72 hours though.

Flyers/Pens series is stupidly brutally insane. As a Yotes fan I am laughing that Bryz's GAA is no better in the playoffs than when he was here and he is still 3-0.
Games 1&2 of the Yotes/Hawks series have been the two best live sport events of my life. I am sure my cardiologists bank account will agree with that.
Edit: A game involving the Pens had 148 penalty minutes, 0 of which belonged to Cooke. What planet am I on?

I have no idea who I want to cheer for in the west. What little national pride I have tells me to root for the Canucks, but they play such a cheap, dirty game it makes it hard to root for them.
You could root for the Coyotes, knowing that there is a good chance it is the last time Phoenix will see the NHL for a generation. Unless you are one of those people who believe that Phoenix does not deserve any playoff success, for whatever nonsense reason.
Got my ticket book by USPS today. I am glad we get at least a couple more games. I am going to get to each one the moment the gates open and not leave until security kicks me out, talking with all the other season ticket holders in my section that I consider to be some of my best friends.

About to leave to see what could be my team's last ever home game.
Prediction: Coyotes lose 3-2 and are swept by the Blue Jackets. Yandle (most overrated defenseman in the league) makes a bad pass directly to Rick Nash who promptly puts one over Smitty's glove.
At some point during the night, I cry.

Ever since the first mission in Rome that is just a conversation, I have been unable to move the camera angle. Left mouse button works as normal, scroll wheel switches weapons as normal, right mouse button aims still, but I cant move the camera angle.
I have tried the .ini tweaks used for camera stuttering, altered the mouse sensitivity, reinstalled the game, started a new game. The problem persists in saves made prior to this issue appearing.
Any ideas. Also, I am using the steam version.

Just got back from Glendale. Apparently tonight was the largest crowd in Coyotes history- I would have thought that would have been a playoff game a couple years ago.
Heck of an effort by a Yotes squad without Smith, Aucoin, Hanzal and Gordon. Other than the opener against the Jets, I am not sure I have seen that kind of consistent effort by them this year. (Oddly enough those two games have been the two sellouts.) I would be happy with that effort against Boston, but after the last couple weeks, the Yotes need points badly.
Then I came home just in time for the local sports news broadcast. Phoenix Suns highlights, College basketball, College Football. Coyotes passing mention without highlights before the "Good Night". Add to that the local newspaper that used the excuse of "We must save money to send people to the Summer Olympics" in response to questions about why the Coyotes beat writer never goes on road trips. Hell, the best media coverage of the team came from a morning DJ on a rock station, until he left for Philly last week. I hate Phoenix media.

Enjoying every game like it could be the last. Love my 'Yotes.

I wish I would have read the forums and posted more often. I did not even notice Mike's thread in Off Topic. As someone who used to weigh 380 pounds I feel a certain kinship with him and wish I would have been around to provide support and encouragement.
My condolences to his friends and loved ones.

Phoenix forced a game 7 for Detroit today, awesome.
I had pretty much given up after going to Glendale and watching the Coyotes roll over and die in Game 5. I thought that was a must win. The fans (couple fistfights between wings/yotes fans) were more physical than the Yotes.
Bryz really looked like a god today. He has not looked great for most of the series. I hope he is back for the duration of the playoffs.

I just got back from a truly awful hockey game. Edmonton at Phoenix. Neither team deserved to win. Edmonton kept making the absolute most boneheaded roughing and slashing penalties away from the puck. I think the refs missed a spearing as well. Anyways, none of that mattered as the Coyotes went 0 for 9 on the power play, including about 45 seconds of 6 on 3 and a couple minutes of 5 on 3. The game went to a shootout where nobody scored in the first seven rounds. Phoenix won in the eighth. Though for one of Edmonton's saves it seemed pretty clear that Deslauriers threw his stick at Korpikowski, who was sent to the showers for arguing and delaying the shootout.
To make matters worse it was Fan "Appreciation" Night in Glendale. They gave away really awful prizes like a weeklong trial at a gym for an entire section, and a free appetizer at a regional Mexican chain restaurant. They played some game where a fan pulled a "lever" to stop a prize wheel on the jumbotron. Whatever the wheel stopped on was what they won. I was a section away from where the contestant was. The 'lever' was really just a hockey stick shoved in a cardboard box and the prize wheel was just controlled by the jumbotron operator. In the first intermission they played some stupid game where two teams of two raced across the ice and back while carrying 10 egg cartons. The winner's section won a coupon for dozen eggs for everyone. They need to ban all intermission games besides having youth programs play a couple minutes on NHL ice - so ridiculous.
Ahh, hockey in Glendale!
Edit: Oh, and to be clear I am a Coyotes fan and hope they stay here, but even I laugh about the goings on here. I think it woulda been comedy gold for the organization to announce on April 1st that if you buy tickets to any 2 first round playoff games, you get a free ticket to the home opener in Winnipeg.

Yeah, LOTRO has awful headgear, with the exception of a few light armor hats. The medium armor heads are particularly awful. You can toggle most of the armor to be viewable or not though. Or you can do like my hobbit burglar and wear a hooded cloak.

I don't fully buy the whole deal about it being dumb to move to Phoenix, at least any more than it would be to move any sports franchise to Phoenix, not just hockey teams. Phoenix is likely the most fair-weather sports city in the world. A bunch of band wagoners. If you don't win soon after moving here, you won't get much of a fanbase, and if you don't field a competitive team at least periodically after that, you will lose some of what you did have. For years it looked like we would lose the Cardinals, and not many people cared. The Diamondbacks have had trouble putting people in the seats some years.
The Coyotes, in a league where more than half of the teams go to the playoffs each year, never got past the first round of the playoffs and have not been to the playoffs since before the lockout and the new arena opened (in a not very centralized location for the Phoenix area). They have just not been able to incite any passion among people here with their poor performance.
I also think something like this could happen to northern cities. Since 2004, Phoenix has had seasons where they had better attendance than cities like Buffalo, Chicago (mutltiple years) and Boston (again, multiple years), in the years when those teams were struggling on the ice as much as the Coyotes were.
I maintain that the Coyotes issues have more to do with poor management than there not being any fanbase. It is here, waiting for the team to put on a show worth watching on at least a semi-consistent basis.
My hint to the team, whether they move or not: Ax Gretzky.
Also to the NHL: Get a better TV deal or push Versus really hard to to the cable companies. I am not paying for some special sports tier just to watch NHL. Especially when I hear that Versus announcing sucks. Can anyone confirm that?

Just as hockey was starting to become a favorite of mine, the Coyotes file for bankruptcy and it sounds like they may move to Ontario. New arena they were under lease for another 25 years funded by the taxpayers of city of Glendale, now possibly without any tenant. Between the lockout and the fact that they have not gone to the playoffs in 7 years in a league where more than half get in, the team never got much of a chance to build a fanbase. Poor management and even more inept coaching. My interest in the league and the playoffs is just about dead now.
I just hope I get the chance to give Gretzky a kick in the nuts before they leave. The man should be banned from coaching anything above little league hockey. Saw more inspired play from the Minor League Team in town than I did from any team Gretzky could throw on the ice.

I shall be voting for either myself or the reanimated corpse of Barry Goldwater. No more lesser of two evils. Course if Barry Goldwater returned to life he might decide to re-unanimate himself after seeing the current state of the union and what has happened to the Republican Party.
Also, as a Wyoming born resident of Arizona, I must apologize for Cheney and especially for McCain, who has abandoned all dignity and common-sense he once had for a chance at the big chair before he dies.

I do not get this Phoenix/Pittsburgh trade from the Pitt end. Z Michalek for 2 prospects and a 3rd round? Pitt must be planning a splash sometime on July 1. Parise?
Don Maloney should be in prison. Getting Vermette for an injured AHL goalie and 2 late round picks, Klesla for 4 years for two free agent rent-a-players in Upshall and Lepisto. (Did I mention Scott Howson is an idiot?) Korpikoski for Enver Lisin. Now this.
From Phoenix's end. I am very exited to have Z back. Love him. But Phoenix (not counting UFA's) has more NHL ready blueliners than season ticket holders (and maybe forwards for that matter). I am thinking Phoenix moves either Yandle or Klesla to get something back up front.
