    Meh, I do enjoy that aspect of Bioware games, but not every game needs to have everything in it. PoE can be a pure adventuring old-school dungeon-crawling fun time, and Bioware can make the 'personal' story type games where romance is a better fit.

    Nope, all those choices occur at character creation. The new feature lets you reset the character to level 1, which is after those choices.

    Don't like the changes then don't download the patch, or use mods to give yourself anything you want.
