this seems to have gone off the radar - has the issue been fixed, or is it still a question of following one of the approaches detailed above and elsewhere if so afflicted? Not intending to mess further with the game until it gets sorted out. I haven't gone through the patch notes with a tooth comb I must admit (on gog, so haven't got the hotfix thingy yet either), so apologies if I'm missing the obvious.

same here with my bear companion, hit me when reloading in the 'third area' (where guy's lost his companion to a big bear ... I was only doing a dry run /test so not a biggie in that sense - but seems to be a persistent problem for a fair few ... hope it's patched soon, and will probably have to put the game to one side until I hear it has been.
