  1. BG1 (Enhanced - it comes with Tales of the Sword coast and I like the enhanced version) then BG2 (enhanced), then Planescape Torment (really - you have to play this if you never have), then Icewind Dale (again, enhanced), then Pillars of Eternity Of them all, Planescape Torment comes pretty much a tie with BG2. Money wise, you could grab all the old ones in a bundle from GOG for a few quid and then mod them if you like.
  2. I love guns because... well... its an RPG with guns! Any chance I get to use a pistol or rifle, I'm there. I think my party is addicted to gunpowder...
  3. "Totally possible" means the party is pretty much the default one you start with (apart from I hadn't found a priest so I spent 250 to get a level 1 of my own). I figured I could level her anyway I always build parties in a fairly similar way in game like this, so I started off with: 1 x tank - someone who can soak up the hits. Full plate, a shield, deflection items, the works. Usually hits like a pansy, but I gave Eder a 2h sword for his second weapon slot (Eder) 1 x healer - someone how can help the poor tank when needed! (hired a level 1 priest from the inn) 2 x magic users - a little damage goes a long way! (my PC and the wizard) Its then a case of targeting enemies. Anyone wearing cloth goes down first - healers especially so, then any spellcaster. As mentioned, crowd control and choke points are also key to a tough battle. Stick to that and you'll be fine to do it on normal at level 3, just like the rest of us!
  4. It's possible on normal difficulty, seeing as I did it just an hour ago. Well, if you leave your team down the stairs and send only one person to talk to Raedric. I tried to keep everyone dazed or blinded as long as I could, I used up most of my scrolls (Rolling Flames ftw), but really it was just a matter of luck because I haven't quite got the hang of aggro yet. When I didn't manage to grab enemies with Eder, I promptly got slaughtered. Oh yes, totally possible. Again, I just did it. 4 man party - couldn't do it 3 man so I got a level 1 priest from the inn, though everyone else was level 3. Kept her behind Eder, with Aloth taking down the priests first from range. My Cipher PC got knocked out in the heat of battle, but her twisted body made a nice block in the doorway
