  1. Don't know if this is considered a spoiler so I put it here sorry if this is the wrong forum anyways... I just go to the part where you have to descend the wall in the bluffs, and I just have to say that when Eder wrenched his shoulder grabbing the main character to save him from "certain death" is so freaking awesome you guys did a great job and made a helluva a game. I feel like I am playing through a forgotten realms or dragonlance novel. When I look on these forums I see all these people complaining about this and that minute details that don't mean ****. I think you guys made a game for people like me who love dungeons and dragons and fantasy books, games, and movies. This game is so cool I haven't felt bored all day at work cause all I could think about is doing a quest in a game. Its probably been since BG2 since I felt that way about a PC game, and probably Final Fantasy 9,10 or 12 for any other video game. I guess I am just saying thank you to Obsidian and everybody who helped make this game I feel like you tried to make a game just like BG2 but more in depth and I think you nailed it. To make a game like this without being able to us a world like Forgotten Realms or Ravenloft or DragonLance, you guys at Obsidian kick major ass, and I wish you would keep making games like this forever. I this doesn't mean much but I will buy any games yall put out like this forever. Pillars of Eternity is the best game since BG series and I for one appreciate the hell out of all the developer and backers, what an awesome freaking game. Sorry for the long rant I just wanted to say thanks and don't listen to the haters. Peace Blinky
  2. awesome thanks for all the quick responses. I am going to sleep after cracking out on this game for 5 hours straight and I just made it through the copperlane, brackenbury, and first fires beginning quest. there is a lot of content in this game. for the people who have finished how many hours did you put it, im just curious. but I would like to say that this is a great successor to the baldurs gate serious, im loving it so far. I got my ass kicked in the first few dungeons, I hated those shades, shadows, and phantoms, but now that im getting some good arms and armour I can actually go a few encounters without resting or camping. thanks for the quick response
  3. Hi I was wondering if you guys might be able to answer some questions for me regarding the gameplay of PoE? First off: Can someone explain to me the mages and the grimoires or point me in the direction of a website that explains the mechanics of the system. and secondly: Can someone explain the NPC's that you can "reach into their soul." For example, is it necassery to read every ones soul, like do they give you quests so far it has just been stories and lore about the world? I am just wondering if I should be talking to all these people or if its okay to skip a few every now and then? thanks
  4. nevermind i figured it out. does anybody have a website or a digital copy of the manuel they can send me. i don't really understand what things mean and i feel like it is making the game harder than it is. the temple of eathos is kicking my arse. thanks
  5. nevermind.... but I do have a question have a lot of people beat this game. I seem to have to rest a lot so far I am only 4-10 hours in but for example in this temple of eathos i just used my second campfire supplies and i still have three rooms to clear i think... i have gotten pass the big black sludge think. These enemies seem really hard for me am i doing the wrong quest i am like level 1-4, i have eder, altoh, kana, and durance, and myself a wood-elf rogue. the skuldr room with two kings i am having trouble with. did other people have similar problems. also i played tabletop d&d and i played the **** out of BG aand BG2 and a lot of mods, and iceweind dale, does anybody know where there is an online manual that explains what everything means in the game. or if there is something that kinda compares this game to d&d rules. thanks.
  6. can someone remind me the order of the bells I forgot. thanks
  7. hi everybody im new to this forum, and have only put in 4 hours or so into the game. I played the heck out of BG series and icewind dale I loved those, and so far I am liking this one. I really enjoy the forgotten realms setting, but I think I am going to enjoy learning about a whole new world and really a whole new system. Plus I think sword coast legends is going to give me my FR fix whenever it comes out. Does anybody know when that is coming out? Anyways my question is how do I increase the brightness of the game, I am having a hard time seeing things on the screen where you walk around, but I cant really see anything at all on the map screen. I have the brightness turned up on my monitor I just cant seem to find the brightness meter in the game. sorry if this is in the wrong forum. thanks
