I haven't encountered it in TSLRP, so I don't think so.I was checking out the Kreia dialog file in TSL and noticed that there's some cut content in there - when you learn the lesson of skills from her, she's supposed to tell you to go practice your skills if you are on the Ebon Hawk. So if it's the Treat Injury skill, she will tell you to heal everybody on Ebon Hawk, if Demolitions, she will tell you to put some mines around the Ebon Hawk hyperdrive. I wonder if Team Gizka will restore this stuff? -
Very interesting. It's great to see his dislike of game conventions translated into gameplay elements.

No.you just dont find it funny that "her" name was April(Aprils fool day and all that). -
Meh. To me, it's not more hilarious than PoziomyPion, for example.Even the name is kinda hilarious. -
I'm not sure what Dashus intends at this point, but in the past, it was intended that after the first public release, someone else would take over and support a patch. Public release is two builds away, so we'll see what happens after that.

You can't always get what you want, but this time, we are. Awesome news.
-
Yeah, the 178 is a pretty reliable driver. I'm glad you got past the cutscene.
-
I've read elsewhere that the 182.50 driver version doesn't do all that well. Try rolling back to an earlier driver version. You can find earlier versions here.

From LouTenant at the TeamGizka forums: set texture detail to medium and Anisotropic Filtering\Anti-Aliasing to zero, and the crashes should go away. Seriously, I've had this problem times and again (see higher), but this should fix the crashes. It works here, at least.

Clarification: the trailer is indeed a year old. We had been discussing potential release dates...and we missed it. I presented Dash with the trailer - which needed to be tuned up a bit. When it was obvious that it wasn't going to be released, I was already with the original movie file to do a quick switch (really, it would've taken less then 5 minutes) but Dash wanted to actually poke a little fun at us with the notion that we missed the guessed release date. The release date that we (as in the team and beta-team) guessed. Whoops.
Just so we're clear Dash meant it to be poking fun at themselves, not the public (though some might feel it was directed at them).
Plans have been updated as well:
There are two (2) builds remaining until public release. 1.0b11 will be released in the coming days to the beta testers and is considered Release Candidate 1. 1.0b12 will be then be released as RC2. 1.0c1 will be released publicly when all Block, Crash and Major bugs have been resolved from 1.0b12.

... And now TG's site is down? Hopefully that wasn't the "big news" planned for "two weeks."
Damn, you want more?

1th of April is tomorrow on my watch.

No, I don't think the team members would ignore Mantis if a bug was fixed or changed status. It's used for a purpose.I don't see how it would take 'all day' to update a web-page like Mantis. Or even post a message there saying that they are 'too busy working on bugs to update bug-list page'. Compare that to the work confirmed and amount of updates that preceeded the unfortunate leaking of beta and you can see why people are doubting the development of the mod since then.It is understandable that people doubt the mod's future when there's a long time with absence of progress. I'd be lying if I told you that the mod is progressing swiftly at this moment. Dashus has had some real life issues (and not so much issues) in these last few months, and progress (in the sense of bugs being fixed, not reported) is at a standstill right now. You just have to look at the Mantis to come to that conclusion. I can say, however, that the mod's future is not in jeopardy. Dashus did let us know what he was planning in the foreseeable future concerning the mod, which made things much clearer for us Beta testers. I don't know if Dashus would be happy with me telling the public what he said to us, so I'll not divulge. Dashus will make known when he... feels like it, I guess.
On the other hand, and I'm not sure I should be telling you this either, but there's something else moving right now concerning the mod. Hopefully, if all goes well, you should be noticing something in the near-future.

I think what he's asking for is a review in advance. First impressions, so to speak.
The Closed Beta Testers have their own sub-section in the Gizka Forums, in which they can post their impressions. You can view them here. In my case, I think I've done a reasonable job of handling most of what is new in TSLRP. That's for you guys to judge, of course.

Is there anyone who's going to try the leaked beta version, and then report a taste of the new features here?
Uh, if you want to know what's being restored, you can always look in the Team Gizka forums. Everything that's being restored is listed there. Here's the link.

The fixes should still be on Kotorfiles.com. I don't know the exact link, though.

Honestly, if I had a mod like this, and I was working on it for more than 3 years, I'd say "**** 'em, I don't want to spend my time on Progress updates, I've got better things to do". That's just me, though.
Mantis seems to be fixed. I hope I still remember the bug I was supposed to report.
-
Heh, well, that's not exactly true. Mantis is somehow a bit... broken. Reporting bugs is for the moment impossible. I tried. And apparently, assigning them is out of the question, too. It's a job for killerbob, I think, but she hasn't gotten around to fixing it. I guess you can view that as an excuse. By any means, do. We Beta-testers know where we stand, the public will know soon as well. So, how committed to this project are they really? Since November, only one person has shown some progress: Tupac Amaru. A great majority of the rest of the bugs haven't even been assigned to anyone, impyling that noone has the 'time' to do it. Even the closed beta-testers haven't reported anything. Admitting lost of interest is the best way for transparency. -
Lower than Minor issues won't influence the release of TSLRP, as Dashus stated. But it still is much, yes. Most are HK Factory issues, which was to be expected. The one big major which has been open for some time now concerning completing the factory is actually a combination of several majors and minors I have reported in the last couple of days. It might clear up the issue for the team. Be warned, more bugs may (and probably will) follow.Depressing! -
Neither is true, I think. He told us why he wouldn't be active for some time, and I won't divulge what he said, obviously. The project isn't actually on hold, since Tupac has fixed a few bugs in the last couple of days, but it is moving very slowly, this is true. But the announcement that 1.0b11 or 1.0b12 are the release candidates shows that the team decided the end's in sight. Where that end lies is, of course, not known, but it does mean that the team is ready to wrap it up.Seeing the buildmaster being AWOL for almost 3 months, my safest be that he has either moved to a whole other continent and gotten a work position that requires 18h/day of work, or have been assigned to an asylum. The project is indefinately put on hold until he returns. -
Beldorion as Hutt Jedi/Dark Jedi; Darth Caedus' flow-walking; the Sun Crusher; Emperor Clone. Those are, in my opinion, the worst.

Obsidian getting the chance to make KotOR 3 would've been a dream come true. Avellone's superb story and dialog writing is superior to anything BioWare, and that will probably include the MMO. But as it was KotOR 2 who hinted at the True Sith, in my opinion, it was KotOR 2 that hinted at a new Good vs. Evil conflict between the Jedi & the Sith. So I don't think you can blame BioWare for doing the obvious here.If Lucas Arts isn't completely soulless they'll give Obsidian a chance to make KotOR3 and reveal the mystery of what happens to Revan & The Exile. Who gives a **** if it's not epic? I liked the low key, behind the scenes feel KotOR2 had going anyway. What bothers me is Naga Sadow running around the Galaxy as the Emperor when he's supposed to be dead for more than 1,000 years. I guess that'll be explained soon, though.
Anyway, let's keep the MMO discussion to the MMO thread. We still got a Restoration mod to release!
-
You mean this?Has anyone else noticed that Biowhore did not even mention about K2 anywhere on their site? -
Of course. If I wasn't part of the Beta, I'd probably react the same way, but since I am a Beta tester, I know for a fact they have other things on their mind right now.Don't take what I'm saying as being negative. Its only an observation of progress that is measured from reading the W.I.P. page. And Lithuanian Hitmen? Should I be scared now?
Is there another Star Wars Universe-type Forum out there?

Don't listen to Mac. He's a frustrated individual, being banned from Lucasforums for not following the rules, and if I recall, for not being afraid to make his hands dirty himself.
I will say this: Lucasforums does have (an) elitist group(s) of people that may make you feel unwelcome, but that's only a veil. Moderators will treat you fair if you follow the rules, and while some of the sections' reputation (Kavar's has seen better days, I think) is questionable, overall, it's a fun and active community. Mainly the Jedi Knight and Knights of the Old Republic sections are worth looking into.
You may also want to look into TheForce.Net boards. I'm not really a fan of it, it's one to get easily lost it, with threads containing sometimes more than 200 pages, but it's a very active forum.
