then why does a desk fan have three salvagable components listed next to it ?
Future DLC item perhaps.
If you have it in your inventory it'll be used automatically. You don't have to (and can't, as far as i'm aware) brake it manually.

I wonder if they stuck em in there in response.
Obviously not, since the expansion would've been in development long before people started complaining.
-
Also does anyone know his email address, I want to email and politely explain he is doing the real SJ cause a disservice
Haha. Well, good luck with that.

Oh my...thats something I really will be avoiding. Imagine the " white, male " hating that will be occurring
And its not that I don't think harassment isn't a problem in some places on the Internet its just I'm so tired of the pointlessness of these types of events. What possible new outcome will we get from this....." okay guys lets not be sexist/racist/homophobic" ...its not nice ?
I wonder what Wu will be saying?
Here's hoping GG panelists would have something interesting to say. Depending on how ballsie they are, it can be really interesting.

Welp.
Edit: Dammit, beaten to the punch while I was capping.
OMG. Am i dreaming, is this reality? Few years ago i thought RPG genre was slowly dying, but now we have W3, PoE, Wasteland, Torment, and many more. And possible new Vampire game?! Someone pinch me, this just can't be real.

Out-of-the-blue question only because I saw this thread at the top of the forum:
Anybody have experience running this game on a machine that precisely matches the minimum specs for CPU & GPU?
I'm probably still going to hold off until I get around to an upgrade sometime next year, but I could be tempted into jumping in before then were I convinced that it would run smoothly on the rig I've got.
I have I7 2700k and 570 and i can run it at 30 fps on medium settings, though with most fancy effects turned off obviously. Of course it's no guarantee that it will run on your machine, but chances are it will.

...So, what do 'ya think?
I think we're all going to remember Star Citizen as the biggest flop in the industry for quite a while.

I haven't read the gentlemans book nor anything to do with the controversy surrounding it, though a lot probably stems from the clickbait inflammatory title, but i'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Mr Owen wants games to be: More "filmic," shorter, streamlined, dumbed down and accessible, and that therefore of course he should not have to learn how to play the game because he should simply be catered to, never challenged or in any way impeded. After all no other games force you to learn the rules and play by them, we all know that Chess and Poker are sit down and play passtimes.
TB made a video about it. It would seem the at least some part of that book is not that bad. And i kind of agree with it as is TB.

I'm reading it as "We weren't serving the public good or pushing a political agenda, so we weren't doing journalism."
A bit of wonky wordsmithing on his part if that wasn't his intention.
Oh, i read it wrong, my apologies. Though i do still feel it's a bit of a stretch to say that he "defines" journalism as pushing a political agenda. There's more than enough that's already there, no need to ascribe him something that he didn't necessarily say.
-
He says "We were not doing journalism" and then specifies what that is.
Yeah, and he specifically said that it's not to push a political agenda.
-
In which he defines journalism as pushing a political agenda.
Huh? "It wasn't about serving the public good or pushing a political agenda."

Best speech by Obama so far, and quite relevant to this thread:
And a single comment under this video is "Libtards rekt". Ah, bless you America, where the only two colours known to man are black and white.

The harassment since these articles has been vile. And since we're talking about ethical journalism, by not going that extra step to work with police to determine that something did/didn't happen I think the articles have been irresponsible IMO and encouraged the threats and harrassment. YMMV.
I would say they are more than simply irresponsible. Milo knows exactly what he's doing, and this whole situation is not really about pedophilia, Nyberg, or her alleged victims. It's about outrage and clicks, pure and simple. And maybe a bit of politics.

This entire srhbutts drama is leaving an incredibly sour taste in my mouth. From both sides.
And now a child is being used as a weapon. There aren't any winners in this whole mess... Only losers.
GG and aGG appear more and more like different sides of the same coin in this.
More or less. I would say with GG maybe 20, 30% tops are actually good people, who genuinely care about the issues they say they care. But the rest are there simply to fight who they see as their enemies. Everything else is basically irrelevant.

Just wait until you get to the emotional cutscene that plays when Geralt romances Ciri.
Wat?

Obsidian isn't doing Fractured But Whole, Ubisoft San Fransisco is.
Wonder why...

What's up with all the Fallout hype? I don't get it, F3 was a pretty mediocre game, so why all the excitement about F4?

Moving from Southern California to Poland while taking a paycut so he can work on dumbed down console focused games? Sounds like tragedy in the making. No thanks.
More like to work on one of the best RPGs ever made.

To be honest, I don't think CD Project Red needs Chris.
I've actually cared for some of the stories in The Witcher 3, they have managed to frighten me by setting the mood just using dialogue, they've managed to make pixels on a screen sexy and they've made me laugh out loud from surprise when their understated humour has been more clever than I expected from a video game.
Bethesda on the other hand.. I feel they have the skills to make really cool video games technically, but.. An experienced writer would certainly help them.
Oh no CDPR knows how to create great stories, that's for sure. But with Chris they probably would be even better.
-
but if he moves to CD Project Red
Now that is something i can get behind. CDPR and Chris Avellone? Yes please!
-
Skyrim sold 4 million in 2 days
them poles still have a lot to learn
If you mean selling a turd in a pretty package, then i hope CDPR never learns that.
-
What were the disagreements over?
PoE. Chris wanted to take a different diraction with the game. Though these are only rumors, so they might be completely wrong.

Not really surprising, considoring the rumors about his disagreements with Josh and all that. In any case, all the best wherever his path takes him. Hopefully we'll see more awesome writing from him. His companions were my favorite in PoE.

Finished the game, got a good ending
I'd say that's a bad ending, not a good one.

I doubt this is even real. It reads like your typical radfem rant, half of the complaints are nonsensical. And what game exactly lets you "rape a powerless woman"? Games rarely even feature rape, let alone give the option to commit one.
