  1. 1. Well I'd sure like the components/chemicals to use with the workbehnch to make stuff return. 2. I would like a transit system in your menus like in KOTOR1. KOTOR 2 did have something like it on Telos and Nar Shaddara, and Duxn, but not on Dantooine. I didn't think there needed to be one though for Korribon (there was only a small place to rome) or Onderon (simular situation). 3. Character sidequests. KOTOR 1 had the ones that would appear in the quest menus. 4. I agree I do like the Ebon Hawk, but maybe our characters should fly a new ship. 5. More dynamic DS ending. Something having to either do with a large battle at the end of the game or some kind of large catastropy. 6. Some minor ideas like if all you have is blaster weapons and you are close to a guy. Maybe make the weapon bash the enemy. 7. More mandalorians. 8. I like how there are space battles against fighters, but how about we add missiles to it.
  2. Well if like someone said on page 2 if Bioware works with Obsidian maybe they can help Obsidian correct the problems. I fleft that back when I played KOTOR 1 that it was really good. Hardly no major complaints from anyone on that game. Played it 30 times. 2 times for the DS. Bioware's help just might be what is needed. I hope the rumors are true.
  3. You didn't give me the dates. That is what I was asking for. And you are wrong there are by even the topic with the poll...there are people who feel as I do. And when after the dates should I repost these topics. So here are my "2" questions. 1. When will the PC and European releases be? 2. When after those 2 dates should I repost these 2 topics? In otherwords when will they be effective at what time?
  4. Where did my Would you... topic and my KOTOR 3 Compromise topics go? Also don't worry I can repost every word back (I saved them). Those topics were about compromiseing and coming up with a list of problems everyone feels Obsidian should fix for KOTOR 3 that KOTOR 2 had. Which were major. Also the other topic the would you topic was to show Obsidian how many people would not play the game if the problems were not fixed. Since in business the only way for customers to enforce change is to boycotte until things are met. Since Obsidian like any business only sees money. They like others only care about what they will could lose or gain from an action or actions. I was told that my topics were good, but they were not going to be as effective yet until the PC and European versions of the game release. I would like to know when is the Euro and PC release dates are, and when should I re-post these topics? I will repost this until I get an answer. The last topic had a few people who cussed and then my topic got closed before I got an answer. Please stop closing it whoever did it. If my topic does not belong in this part of the forum then please tell me where to put this. Thank you.
  5. Well I do not think people just don't care about it when so many felt the way I did. It's not like I want to not buy it, but if you don't say that Obsidian will not change things. So I was asking like in my first post, when are the Euro and PC release dates for this game? And when should I post these topics again at a time when they will be more effective with that crowd here?
  6. Where did my Would you... topic and my KOTOR 3 Compromise topics go? Also don't worry I can repost every word back (I saved them). 7. When will the Euro and PC releases be? How do I then wait for the PC and Euro people to comment since my topics are in full swing? And you know when I think about all of this I also am hoping that if we get the changes here that it does not turn off a large amount of others from playing the next one.
  8. I just would like the remind the 25 who say they will still buy KOTOR 3 dispite the problems that no changes will happen unless Obsidian sees that they will recieve less money. It's a company. They are in the business to make money. Dollars and Cents is what matters to them. You could have 10 or 1000 people saying they want a change, but that will not happen unless they see it will effect them financially either way.
  9. I have been informed by Kalfear that Ephany has hijakced my topic. I would just like to remind everyone to stay on topic please.
  10. Thank you Kalfear for your comments. And actually that is what I was making that ooll topic about was for people to show Obsidian that they will not buy the game if things are not changed. This topic hopefully would get Obsidian's attention. Then get people to compromise on ideas and to come up with things that those people can agree on to give to Obsidian somehow the list. And if they do not at least give us the majority of what we are asking then we don't buy. This is what I was thinking. Your right there are some minor things we cannot get a company to change. All we ask to be be at the table as well. Your right I did not clarify this. And thank you for informing me about the other thread. I would like to ask you a question though. I have posted this same topic here and at the General Discussion part of the Obsidian KOTOR 2 forum. Where do you think this topic should best belong so that I might direct people to the right place?
  11. Now while the "Would you... " poll/topic continues to grow and draw others, we need to take the big problems that we know of in the game, and come up with ways of solving them that the "majority" can agree on. Now there may be more problems that are considered big by many, but off the top of my head I will name a few. 1. How should the Dark Side part of the game be. Should it be a mix as it is now of a villian who bully's, is mean, sneaky, betrays and sometimes is rude? Or should the DS quests be you as a bad guy fighting the good guys where you are turthless and insite fear? Or do you have an idea or ideas of your own? 2. Should the Influencing system be changed? If so how? 3. Should the ending of the game be more dynamic like in KOTOR 1 or less dynamic like in KOTOR 2? 4. A few sidequests in the game, for example, the HK-47 voiceprint quest was cut from the game although we do see the cutscene and a bit of dialog that does not lead anywhere afterwards were either cut short or left out. Would these cut side-quests that might happen in the next game, would it bother you or not? Do you think that Obsidian should take more time to complete things or simply dump altogether side-quests like these before releasing the game? Or is it again not a big deal? 5. There were some menu features that were not seen in KOTOR 2 that were in KOTOR 1. What do you want to see return or have different if any? 6. What glitches do you think the makers should give good priority in fixing for the next game? There might be more big problems that I have not mentioned. Please add or take away from the list as you want. We need to come up with compromises and a unified conclusion of how we want Obsidian to do things for KOTOR 3. Then present it to them. The reason why we need to reach a compromise is because a unified voice of change is one that is better heard and can get at least some of what we want done than one that is ununified. As for the presenting part I do not know how we would go about doing that, but our compromised ideas need to be given to Obsidian in some way. Again your majority compromised opinions matter more than mine. If things are fine or not you come up with a compromise. The point is to get what we want the best way we can.
  12. I hope most of us can agree on so far in this topic that there are major problems and they need to be fixed. I hope you guys make those topics sometime here I have to do some English 102 work now. And remember there needs to be presure in the way I have said because that's the only thing businesses respond to. If you have a different way that might work I'm all for it, I'm all for these changes.
  13. I know you mean by smart DS you mean sabotage, being trickery, or sneeky. Most people here that I have seen do not want the bullying part and the rude parts. They might like the smart evil or the powerful rough leader type of evil guy. And if you have alot of people saying these complaints and find out they did not figure it out right well thats just a design problem. The Bioware forums did not have thsoe complaints or the extent the Obsidian forums are having.
  14. I respectfully disagree with you. Here's why. Let me explain. In KOTOR 1 you did have guys at the end. People liked the extra help and they did like talking to them. You say alot in your post that there are bug reports and things. I feel that when you release a game there should be very few bugs. There are many games released today without errors. Quest games shoulb be no exception. Yes alot of errors are expressed by guys that have not figured out those quests. But most people when playing a game want the game to be easy to understand and fun. It should not be hard to where to fun is taken away. For example the influence system is hard to figure out. You have to understand the other characters and minipulate them just right. To many the influence system is hard to figureout. Yes games should be challenging, but if they become too complicated you take away from the enjoyment of the game. Too much of something is not always good. Also people feel that the DS quests in the game are simply bullying and mean. Many that have played KOTOR 1 said that the DS plot needs to be changed. Did Obsidian listen. No. Why because there was no reason to to change it because everyones going to buy the game anyway. There are for example uncomplete plots in the game like the HK-47 voiceprint quest. Unfinished I am told because Obsidian wanted to finish them game quick so that quest was cut and some of it still left. Lets not forget the undynamic ending. Either way of you playing DS or LS the ending is the same. People liked the different endings in KOTOR 1. I hear people telling others that the ending is the same both ways and people here have expressed they will not even bother then to play the DS. The main point of the DS quest is to have a different outcome from the LS. There are alot of glitches too. But the glitches are not the large problem like I said. The above is.
  15. Would you still buy KOTOR 3 if it still has the present problems that KOTOR 2 has? The problems I am talking about are for example the undynamic ending, how the DS quests are, glitches, things in menus missing that KOTOR 1 had, the total loss of connection with your friends throughout the last part of the game, and no shops to get rid of some of the less powerful weapons you find at the end of the game. KOTOR I had this same problem on the Unknown World. These are just the major problems that "many" people have said. But even so some feel the game is still good. So again if Obsidian makes a KOTOR 3 will you still buy it with the present problems. And let me just say that even though you do, the thing is, OBsidian will do no changes unless there is some incentive. I am in college and I know businessmen. I've taken the classes. Why would Obsidian even care to change the problems in the game unless they were to lose customers or money. They are in the business to make money. Unless you give them incentive by telling them you won't buy there product unless they make the changes they won't. They are to listen to what the customer wants. If they do not change what you ask that just shows how much they value your opinion. Oh yes they can say we value your opinion, but if they do not do something about it then they really do not care. Actions speak louder than words. Why should they change it if your going to buy it anyway why should we care is what they are saying. They could also say they would have to do this, or it's too hard. I say that's just too bad isn't it. Your in the business to satisfy the "majority" of your customers. You can find a way. But I believe figuring out how to fix the big problems here is not very hard. Besides people here I hope will try to come up with a compromise on how they want things and we will tell you. So to make it less hard for you. Now today I will be doing homework so I might not be able to do this, but people need to make topics about the big problems and try to reach a compromise on what they would like to see specificly changed and how it should be changed. What are you wanting this to be like or that to be like. Also please post in this topic too. I want to know your actually a poster and not some Obsidian guy trying to influence the poll to make others think one way or the other about this situation about the game. Besides It's not just a poll and no talking topic. Lets discuss it too.
  16. Thanks. Another thing that disappoints me is the fact that the dark side way of the game has not changed since KOTOR 1. People don't want to be pure bullies unless you in life are one. You know what maybe I'm just a sissy weak lightsider, but my idea about the dark side quest would be hungering for battle against the good guys or learning new Sith powers, but not bullying or deception. In Star Wars Darth Vader would use fear alot or kill someone if they did not fofill his wishes. He did not use a guy then kill him just for credits. I mean come on that is nothing but a street thug. Anyway when making a DS quest in the future I would look at how Darth Vader was. After playing the DS I just feel sick and depressed. DS is just not fun. LS is fun. What do you think everyone about the LS and DS? Maybe if we give more ideas Obsidian will get it right next time. Oh the only thing I don't like about LS.
  17. I could also tell that the makers either just looked at how KOTOR 1 was made and then tried to re-create it, or got models and things from Bioware, but not everything. There are so many glitches. The only problem that pepple said that KOTOR 1 had was that there was no shop on the Unknown World. The same goes for KOTOR 2 after you enter the Enclave. I have found other glitches in the quest menus. Example: You take care of the gang near the speeder in the Refugee Sector on Na Shadda and then take care of the Exchange and the game will think that now you need to take care of the gangs. Also if you enter the Korribon cave and see Kiera. After the battle she is still there. If you talk to her the same thing happens again. It can take several tiimes until she is gone. I remember in KOTOR that you could do things out of order and even if you did not complete the quests in the right order the quest woiuld end and you would be awarded with a certain amount of exp. And finally during combat if select an attack that attack sometimes might not happen. You would have to press the button at the right times to get the action to happen. It takes a bit of learning. In KOTOR 1 you can press the keys how fast or slow you want and that action happened immediatly. There are a few mysteries I have about the game though. If you talk to the Rodian shop guy that is being pushed around on Na Shadda and get the trade routes for him, you see this HK Pasifist upgrade for HK-47 that looks like you had to have installed it before you activate him in the buy list. Also on Dantooine you are given a quest of redeaming the Jedi and how people view them. I have talked to people on that planet and I do not see a way to do this side-quest.
  18. One other thing that is good is that you can make your other characters when they reach the highest LS or lowest DS become a Jedi Guardian by dialog. I got Bar Dar to be a Jedi and Handmaiden also to be a Jedi. Once you do this a cutscene occures where Atris hears telepathicly from Kiera the word "betrayal". She then by that knows Handmaiden has broken her word of not becoming a Jedi.
  19. Here's what I think of KOTOR 2. Gameplay: Great. I like the fact you can have 2 weapon setups at once and be able to switch between melee and ranged weapons on the fly. I don't like though that when you are fighting that sometimes your character will acidentally face the other way and slash or fire the wrong way. This did not happen in KOTOR 1. Menus: Everything is more compact giving you more room to see everything. I do miss the ability in the map menu of KOTOR 1 where you could go back to the Ebon Hawk if it was accessable at that time instead of having to walk there. The transit system on Telos was a good substitute, but other transite systems were not on other planets. So a traniste system on multiple planets and the map menu transite to the Ebon Hawk would have been nice. People want less time between running around to the next area and doing the next task. Leveling up: I like that you can level up further than level 20 unlike KOTOR 1 where this was not the case. I do wish that there was an area where you could fight infinite enemies like on Dontooine in KOTOR 1. There were infiinite Kath Hounds there. That way you could obtain if you wanted, all the powers and all. KOTOR 2 does have alot mroe enemies and does allow you to level up past level 20, but the amount of enemies to face is still limited. Dialog: There is too much of it. Also there were Character sidequests in KOTOR 1. There is not in KOTOR 2. Items: KOTOR 1 had items where you could clearly see which ones were better than each other. In KOTOR 2 you would have some items that just would not make too much difference. Example an items that gives 1 fortitude and 1 Defense and another that would give you 1 Reflex and 1 Constitution. They don't make much of a difference. Yes there are a few that clearly are better than alot of others, but not as many as KOTOR 2. Trust me I kmow KOTOR 1. I played it 30 times and examined all outcomes, items, classes, etc. I understand this. Quests: Some quests in KOTOR 2 are long and require you to run here then run there then run back to there then back to here. They are lengthy. And like I said above things could be speed along better with a transite system and the ability to go back to the Ebon Hawk with the map menu like in KOTOR 1. Also when you have a quest most people want the sidequest or quest to take up about say ten minutes at the mont not 20 to 30 minutes and alot of that be travel. In most quests people if they need to like to if they ahve to tranvel to the same place for that one quest once or twice. Any more times after that it becomes lengthy. KOTOR 1 had good examples of it's quests which did not take up a long time to complete. And speaking of quests, both the Light side and Dark side endings were largely different in KOTOR 1. In KOTOR 2 there is only slight differences. Moslty in dialog. Being dynamic is what KOTOR is known for especially the endings. The endings should have been different. KOTOR 2 is dynamic, but not in the endings. There are some inprovements that KOTOR 2 has, but there are other areas that do need inprovment.
  20. Also how do I obtain force crush. I heard of it and saw it in the trailer, but I do not see it in the list of powers when levelnig up.
  21. Darn. I didn't know one peice for HK-47 was on Paragus. Does this mean that now I cannot activate HK? Thanks guys for the inluence answers. So if Disciple is the replacement for Handmadian when you are female is he going to be also in the Telos Enclave? And for Harharr how dark do I have to be to get him?
  22. 1. Why is Kiera the hardest to influence? 2. Why is it that if you try to influence a party member one way they tend to go the oposite? Does each character respond to a differennt influence? 3. Are you able to get your lightsaber from Atris? 4. I can find most of the parts for HK-47, but I cannot find the Processor. Where is it? 5. Once HK-47 is re-activated, will he be a party member? 8. I saw on the oficial KOTOR 2 site the many characters that you can have in your party. How do you obtain: Darth Sion, Disciple, and Hanharr? 9. Once I obtain these characters will new slots appear for them. 10. On Malacore V there is a scene between Remote and that other floting ball. The scene ends abruptly. Are you able to find out what happens next?
  23. Na your a gungun.
  24. What about instead of always fighting human Jedi how about fighting alien Jedi. Like all those different races kind in Star Wars Clone Wars. Remember alot of the Jedi in the arena were alien. And why do you have to always be human why not alien like you can pick a different race to be like in Jedi Academy.
