I have this same problem with a ranger party member. Tried taking them out of the party and sending them on missions even to get rid of it, but no dice.

I'm also having this problem. I'm just so used to alt for item highlighting, and tab seemed like more of a toggle, so I want to swap them, but it's bugged.
