  1. I like your Mission Vao. Very cute! :)

Gee, are we here to COMPARE fanart to others??? I thought it was about sharing, commenting, and critisizing intelligently other people's art. Ok, your art needs improvment (if you want to COMPARE with aimo) DiamondRose, but you've got solid proportions bases. Maybe Mission's pose isn't very balanced, but I like the lineart and colours... Continue drawing, and I'm sure you'll get it right. I'll be watching!

(sorry for english mistakes if I made any, I don't usually speak english... I'm more into french, in fact)

    I agree.

And DiamondRose, your art style seems different and distinct from whomever people are comparing to. Apples and oranges. It's all about personal preferrences.

  2. Same here.

I found out I *had* to choose, "Who are you?" then "Very well. I did not come here to do battle." for it to proceed as it should.

And this occured post-update. Never had that problem before.

And the Handmaidens would walk across the room, disappear and reappear where they were originally, then walk across the room again. :-

    Wierd.

  3. Atris would duel with Nihilus... says the box art. :-

Kidding aside, wasn't it that she wanted the 'Force' to "die"? As from her perspective, Force users are granted an illusion of being able to manipulate events but looking at the whole picture, everything proceeds according to the "will of the Force". Making Force-users, slaves of the Force.

So either killing herself and/or the Exile (because of his innate ability of absorbing Force powers(?)) would be the resolution she is maneouvering to achieve?

  4. First used Cyan changed to purple single lightsaber with a Jedi Weapons Master. Cyan becomes a little annoying when it doesn't turn off because of that glitch.

I thought it was just in my game.

Annoying indeed. In my experience, that glitch is only when the cyan crystal is in a single-bladed lightsaber. Works fine in a double-bladed. Haven't tried in a short lightsaber yet though.

  5. How in the world could you possibly know that?  Thats pure conjecture.

A commander with soldiers and weapons at his/her disposal can simply order, "shoot that". That was simply my point. Nothing more.

KOTOR1 barely told us anything about Revan's reign as Sith.  Just because the game never pointed to specific instances of his use of power in such ways, doesn't mean he never did.  After all, the game says specifically that he never did act in such a way either.

Revan's power is not the issue, but his tactical brilliance in warfare. (And apparently, politics-- the assassination of the Echani General, Yusanis. But this is veering off-point.)

In conversation with G0-T0, it said that Revan would leave key installations intact while Malak brainlessly crushed everything in his path. And would rather Revan as Sith Lord than Malak.

In both KotOR1 and KotOR2, Revan had indirectly received praises for his cleverness and tactical brilliance (Vandar, Zhar, Kreia, and the Exile).

Additionally, Malak did display tactics.  You just seem to be foregetting them.  He went after the Endar Spire specifically to try and take out the Republic and Jedi's most tallented battle meditator, a rather calculated strike.

When they made it to Taris and were going to escape, Malak blasted the planet into oblivion to try and stop them.  Use of overhwelming force, yes, but still a tactic.

Waiting for the Jedi to attack Revan's ship, then betraying his master and firing on him at the right moment in an effort to take them both out, definetly tactical.

Luck. But since they're Force users, 'chance'. :D

There is no 'tactics' in brute force.

And, IIRC, Malak himself admitted to neo-Revan, Bastila and Carth, that firing on the then-Sith Flagship's bridge, to being an opportunity he couldn't ignore.

About the attack on the Endar Spire.... As it was established that Battle Meditation is a rare and very powerful Force Power. Malak didn't have it. He wanted to have and control the person that did. Heck, if I were a Sith Lord, I would too! I'd order the fleet to board the Endar Spire and capture Bastila. But that doesn't make me a tactial genius.

And keeping the Republic fleet off balance and occupied elsewhere so that he could strike and wipe out one of the strongest Jedi bastions of Dantooine?  If thats not strategy and tactics...

With the size of the Sith fleet, it's a given that there are fleet divisions, as with the US Navy in rLife.

IIRC, Dantooine is in the outer rim, not a military installation, hence not militarily defended.

Not exatcly a pinnacle military tactical achievement. Yay Malak! :( Good job. :p

No, no, no.  She was a master nothing.  We all saw it coming, and if we would've been given a legitamate opportunity to throw her off the Ebon Hawk earlier, I bet most of us would have taken it, Force Bond or not.  Her "manipulations" only succeed because she was dealing with 1 and 2 dimensional characters, including the seemingly half brain dead Exile through whom we really never get the option to choose another path.

While I am getting lazy to type :p , I believe Zazei had addressed this.

And I would just like to air that I am just sharing my understanding on the subject matter and not in any way proclaiming (or projecting) to be an expert in this competely fictional matter. :p

  6. anyone found a way to not get into a fight with luxa after killing slusk?

No, she's really a very ambitious and selfish person. She's not that interesting a character anyway.

Besides, why would you want to spare her? (1) She lied to you about the Ebon Hawk, and (2) she used you to kill her boss, risking your life and the lives of your companions.

  7. Implants:

    Mental Boost D-Package

These are some of the items really worth finding! Armors... Bah.... With an Ebon Hawk full of Jedi's, you don't need them.

There are really great implants in the game. Sucks that my Exile can't use any, as I left his Constitution at 8.

Wish Implants were Feat levels as in KotOR1. But oh well, the game is still enjoyable. :D

  8. Kreia was a much better Sith Lord.

Malak... eh, any dumb commander can order the obliteration of facilities/installations/cities/worlds. No tactics. When the Sith Fleet was under Revan's command, he didn't have just any world bombed to the Stone Age. Key positions and facilities remain intact but under his command.

    Kreia = master manipulator. :thumbsup:

  9. Very much appreciate all the compliments and advise. :)

As I currently can't decide on what character (& pose) to try sketching next, I updated my Visas sketch a bit.

Changed her Lightsaber from double-bladed to single as I feel is more in-character.

Also added a "fold" to her cloak by her right arm. :D

I will work on the design of the ends of her veil (which I completely forgot to do).

  10. If your PC is male, Light Side, and has slightly more influence with Visas than Handmaiden, Mira mentions that she thought that "you and Visas hooked up a power coupling" instead of "you and the Handmaiden hooked up a power coupling".

Mira pronounces Visas' name, "vee-sas". Prior to that, I always pronounced it as "vye-sas". But oh well, learn something new everyday. :ermm:

  11. "inspired by aimo"

Hah, Aimo inspired me to do some KotoR drawings. They turned out terrible so I didn't attempt anymore.

I like yours. The only thing I can draw is a hand, which still looks deformed. ^_^

Oh man, drawing hands is a major pain in the neck!!! My first attempts looked like chicken feet!!!

And so are the eyes and lips. Oh, the eyes..!

Very frustrating. Good thing Visas has a veil and didn't need to draw eyes.

  12. that's a great pic! oh and you just started learning how to draw?! so never before last week you've known how to draw?

Thanks much. And yah, I have never known how to draw (nor attempted to) prior to just recently.

Currently reading up and trying to figure out fabric details and shading. Thing is, in both books and on the net, different people have their own ideas. I'm confused.

  13. 1) The chars were SOOO under done. I think Visas, Atton, and Mira were cool but they coulda been waaay better.

I wouldn't say "SOOO under done". Incomplete, perhaps.

    2) No offense OE but the influence system just plain SUCKED! I HATED IT! Made feel as if u HAD 2 talk 2 them and u didn't know when 2.

I, too, didn't like the Influence System. But it was manageable. I mapped it out a bit to trigger certain conversation changes and cutscenes.

    6) What the #e(( happened after to Revan and Bastils/ Carth? Heard som thing about a holo, never got it. How bout Jolee, Mission, Zaalabar, Juhani?

Need a base Intelligence of at least 16 to access the holo vid recording in T3-M4.

    7) AI terrible, enemies stupid. Game 2 easy.

My concern was more on the allies. I wish they'd pick their own targets. With everyone ganging up on one, crowding each other, and watching them try to run around each other to get to the target, was funny at first. Then it just got silly.

Apparently that has something to do with the Exile's Force Power characteristic and innate leadership/influence. *shrug*

 Romances kinda blah. Real vague.

    Vague. Yup.

    9) Nihilius, Atris, and Sion were soooo overated. Agan, EASY!

    I agree.

    10) What kind of an ending was that! I had so many questions after beating it.

I was surprised and dumbfounded when the credits started rolling. Oh well. Kreia's sum-up of each's resolution had to do.
