  1. Hassat, clam down. Myself and the other Beta's know what we're doing :p

No offense but... Several people got the same major/crash bugs (T3 in party on Nar Shaddaa, HK encounters and press "1" during Atris-Kreia convo) yet none of the beta-testers managed to find them and report on Mantis. I know that Betas try their best, but the ammount of same bugs reports from people who downloaded 1.0b8 makes me positive that these bugs are indeed there and I really wouldn't want to expierience them while playing TSLRP myself.

  2. What the ... NO! Have you people no taste? Britney is ... ugh! I want Lacey Chabert! Her squeaky voice drives me nuts.

And if you're going to hire a singer, might as well be Christina! She's 10 times better.

From the sound of it, though, it looks like there will be a lot of female characters, so we'll get to hear lots of sexy voices I hope.

lul we were only kidding  At least I was :ermm: If they were to hire a signer (which Britney is not) then of course I agree, they should go for the one and only Christina

    On topic:

I hope Sara Kestelman gets some voice acting work on AP. She was incredible as Kreia in Kotor 2!

  3. It's not a question of being uptight. It's just that including lesbian stuff in a game creates an increase in the number of units that are sold while gay sex does the exact opposite.

    Sex sells, especially lesbian sex.

Yep, lesbian sex surely makes the sales go up, but I disagree that gay sex would harm AP sales. It didn't have any negative effect on Jade Empire, Fable or The Sims. It's not like Obsidian&Sega would write it on the cover "Alpha Protocol: With Gay Sex! :(" ;)

  4. Sweet preview. I'm getting more and more excited about AP with each article I read. This game sounds really good and for God's sake, finally sth original among gazillions of (too) similar of sci-fi/fantasy RPGs (of course K3 is still a must!). We need some video goodies too see all of these amazing mechanics journalists keep talking about in action!

  5. The "DRM forces me to be a pirate!" logic is loopy at best.

Purashe the game again for the full price after three OS reinstalls/hardware upgrades logic is far more loopy. Like someone else said, it's plain ridiculous to charge a full retail price for rental rights, since that's exactly what purashing Mass Effect is. DRM does not forces anyone to be a pirate. But it surely punishes actual customers who bought the game.

  6. We have 3 teams, 3 games. When SoZ ships I assume they'll give me something to work on

At least I hope I still have a job!!

Oh man, but I hope it's Diablo KOTOR III! I'd love to work on that game!

Now it looks much better :)

  7. And while the others patiently wait (don't ask me why) we get to play the restored content. Sure; it isn't 100% bugproof... but; hey; was TSL ever?

It works fine enough, and I was able to find workarounds for each major bug I faced so far, so still having alot of fun. A good 40 hours up ahead once again!

And I will keep playing this little beta until the full version is released because, guess what, playing it now doesn't make you unable to download and install the "full" version later. :o

I suppose some people come forth with a reason like "playing it unfinished will ruin it for me"... guess what, did you play through TSL already? Maybe you noticed it was being unfinished. Still; you are planning another playthrough with TSLRP (why are you reading this thread else?), why not plan 2? 80 hours instead of 40... sounds like a good deal to me...

FYI: I am keeping a little list of "notworthy" bugs incase TG is ever interested, but seeing the response, probably unlikely. Oh well.

    [/not complaining at all post]

Although I am tired of waiting for TSLRP, just as everyone else are after 3.5 years (and I think TG understands this), I will wait for the 1.0c release. Why? Because I'm far more tired of playing an unfinished and heavily-bugged game vanilla TSL is. I want to finally play as bug-free and complete version of TSL as possible. 1.0b8 won't give me that. That's why I'm waiting for the 1.0c.

  8. All I can say is that any other projects aside from Alpha Protocol and Aliens are probably in the "years away" category at this point. Sorry! My lips are sealed.

I perfectly understand that Obsidian is currently focused on AP and Aliens. But considering the ridicoulous ammount of turned-to-be-false rumors about Kotor3 in the last couple of years, any information that LA at least gave a green light for K3 would be good. So my second question is: Does your answer for my first question means I'll be very happy in couple of years or does it means that LA doesn't even think about K3 at the moment?
