I'm curious about Empire at War, if only to see if someone can finally put together a good Star Wars RTS. Otherwise though, my interest in LA has waned significantly, especially after the cancellation of Sam and Max 2.

Outcast had the best music ever, IMO. Other favorites include Planescape: Torment, Ultima VII, The 7th Guest, Alone in the Dark, Inca, Icewind Dale, Silver, Star Control II.

Hmm, it's about time, really. I had pretty much assumed that development had halted.

I played one of the Apshai games on my friends old Atari computer back in the day. The first I played on my own computer would be Ultima VII: The Black Gate.

Ultima VII: The Black Gate. It being the first Ultima I played I have a sentimental attachment to it, but it was also the most enjoyable of the ones I played, story-wise. I also remember loading it up for the first time on my POS 386SX-16 and being totally wowed by first the intro and then the gameworld. I knew I was in for a treat. It's one of the few games I would like to experience for the first time again.

Most of my favorite PC games were released in the first half of the 90s. I worked at a computer store during my college years (92-96) and was up on all the latest PC releases, much moreso than I am now. A couple on my favorite list are from the latter half of the 90's (Fallout, Planescape), but for me, the pinnacle of PC gaming was the first few years of that decade.
