Well, at last Intel has tested the game... This is from Intel support web: "Knights of the Old Republic* II: The Sith Lords game crashes to the desktop shortly after the title screen loads. This issue has been recently reported and is currently being investigated. There is no workaround at this time. Additional information may be available at the game manufacturer's website

I'd really appreciate any help too... my mail is fonsolo@gmail.com, but posting in this or other thread in this forum would be enough, since I check it almost every day for news on the patch!

If you take a look at other threads in the forum (aswell as LA one) you'll find that it's very unlikely you can run the game right now (I'm sorry, I'm in the same boat). I suggest you to email Intel, as I did, explaining your problem...probably they could come up with a fix like they have done with similar problems, so the more mails they receive the sooner they will check the game.

However, I played KOTOR on my notebook with intel 82852/82855 and it run smoothly (only had to disable grass in graphic settings, after that, not a single crash), that's why I'm so disappointed!

I've just tried to load an autosave as well as a normal one (which I have sent to myself from my old desktop computer), to no avail...so that possible workaround doesn't work on my notebook whith the Intel video card...It just crashes like when starting a new game.

Here'a funny thing...I've gone to my parent's house today, and I installed the game in my old desktop (almost 6 years old!) just to try, and it works perfectly, while in my brand new notebook wont work at all...Well I guess it's becouse I have nvidia Geforce 2 in my old computer...(damned Intel!)

I think everybody here has tried this even the first day! It won't work...it's not that simple. P.S.: Still no news of the patch?

Do not despair, aXoe, my friend...there are others in the same boat. Maybe the patch...who knows! Let's cross our fingers and wait (it's our only hope).
