  1. Also I remember in one of those "Ramblings" called "Beyond KOTOR 2" it talked about how the outcome of the actions you did on all the planets will be shown at the end of the game. Well, at the end of the game....it wasn't shown! WTF!?!?!

thats simply not true. you were told about what happened on each of those worlds as well as your party members.

Exactly, you need to play the end-level again and don't be so eager to kill the last boss that quickly.

I thought it was supposed to SHOW what happened. Chris Avellone never said that you'll find out in a converstation. So from a certain point of view I am right and Chris was wrong. Atleast he wasn't specific.

KOTOR 2 would go down as one of the most contreversal sequels ever made.

Its sad and funny how Star Wars: Republic Commando and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith will probably end up at the end selling more then KOTOR 2 but yet KOTOR 2 was supposed to be LA's "most popular game".

  2. My point is, all of this was a lie!!!! >>>>>

I don't know if you've ever played Fallout, but if you haven't, you should. One of the best role-playing games ever made.

In any event, one of the many cool things about Fallout (which may have been done in previous games that I am ignorant of) is that the choices you made with each city you visited in the game caused a different splash screen at the end of the game, describing what happened to the locale in the future as a result of your actions.

The same sort of effect is present in Kotor2, though it does not only apply to planets and their people, but it also extends to your companions as well, depending on how you treated them or how horribly you broke them to your will - if they survived at all.

Splash screens didn't mesh with the Star Wars aesthetic though, so we had to pick a different means of displaying the information within the genre aesthetics. In any event, I wanted to let you guys know so that aside from: Your character's gender, your character's light side/dark side leanings, the 4 different answers to your questions about what happened in K1, you ALSO get variations based on how you solved each planet and how you dealt with each of your companions, so the permutations can get extensive.

In any event, it's all done in the name of replayability - hopefully, each person who plays the game should have some key experiences that are different, and get a different perspective on the story (and beyond).

  3. First off I just beat KOTOR 2 as a LS Counsular/Jedi Master. I don't want to review the game but I'm pissed off that the story really didn't come into view until at the end. And even then it didn't make sense.

Damn, and I thought that the DS/LS endings of KOTOR was lousy, damn just wait til you finish K2....[sarcastic]The ending is so epic!!!![/sarcastic]

  4. From that very first astromech droid, you should have had the option to take his memory core. From that, you obtained the "Shutdown" program.

On the console in the bridge, you can upload that program. You should also have the codes to unlock the power system.

Once the power system has been unrestricted, you should be able to go into the system control for the power system. It should say something like "run diagnostic program" and "run shutdown". Run the shutdown program to turn off the power system.

Okay, hold on. I'll try that.

  5. I see how you feel. I believe Obsidian just messed up a load while trying to create these missions. Obsidian doesn't make it "Clear" about what you SHOULD and NEED to be doing.

I remember in KOTOR when I was in a situation where I was stuck, I could always refer back to my journal and it'll display what I need to do next. In TSL the journals don't work that way.

I almost started over because I thought that my game disk was messing up and not letting me progress further on Nar Shaddaa.

The Strategy Guide (Atleast the Gamespot one) aren't any clear either.

  6. There is just something about this game, I really don't know. In KOTOR I never had problems like this. Okay I'm on Goto's Yacht. I saved the exile and now I'm trying to get off.

Well the Gamespot strategy guide says that I need to goto the bridge. I did that. It said that I need to open that cylinder thing to get some codes. I did that. It says that I need to goto the Primary System Computer thing and set everything to Secondary System.....I did that!

**** it let me just copy and paste what the guide said

After you make it past the Interior Defense and onto the Bridge of the ship, you’ll have to open the Plasteel Cylinder in one corner to gain the final access codes. It requires a high Security to access, though, so use T3 to bust it open. You can use it to shut down any remaining droids on the ship (although you’ve likely killed them all). What you really need to do, though, is access the Bridge Command Console, use the Power Distribution system to shift all systems to secondary power, then Shutdown the power. This will drop the ship’s cloaking device, and also shut down the sealed hatch that prevents you from getting back to the Ebon Hawk. You’ll have to fight your way back to your ship, of course, including through the Twin Suns, but you should be able to make it without any problems. Be sure to save your game before you exit to your ship, and be sure that your main character is outfitted for a fight, especially if you’re of a Dark Side bent.

I DID ALL THAT! So when I go back to the "Sealed Hatch" to get into the Ebon Hawk, it says that the "Door has been magnetically sealed and can be only opened at the bridge" or something to that nature. Well I already did all I could at the bridge but yet I still get this message. WTF man can somebody please help me out with this. What am I not doing? Someone help me out cause this **** is just ridiculous.

Nar Shaddaa has given me the most problems, I should have the game beaten by now.

If you have AIM my name on there is Tyrell1011 you can contact me on there if you please.

  7. I think that I just have a bad disk cause I did EVERY possible side mission there but yet I still haven't gotten that invitation into the private room. I don't know whats going on, maybe my game is just messing up and maybe I'm going to have to start all over.

I remember in my Journal there was an entry saying that I needed to go inside the Jekk Jekk club to try to convince some dude to do something. I never did that but yet that entry is no longer in my journal under active quest or complete quest. It just vanished....even though I never did the quest. Catch my drift?

So in all maybe my game is just screwing up. Cause everyone even that strategy guide is saying that I should have went to a cut-scene once I got off my Ebon Hawk after fighting those men. But....I never got that cut-scene.

  8. I've seen the cutscene where the Wookie picks up Mira by the throat, I saw that one.

I haven't convinced Atton to be a Jedi yet. I ask him if he would speak more about his experiences in the Mandalorian War but he says that it is another story for another time.

I talked to the black guy near the Ebon Hawk when I first arrived and he said that if he sees anything, he'll let me know.

However in my Journal I have an entry saying to meet someone at the Jekk Jekk bar to try to convince him to do something. I went all over the bar and talked to everyone and nothing happened. I still however cannot get into that private room.

  9. Okay I'm on Nar Shaddaa now trying to find the Jedi of course, but I'm to the point where I just have no idea what I'm doing and what I must do next.

I understand that I need to find this ID Code for the Ebon Hawk and I understand that I must find this Jedi. Surrounding this seems to be problems with the Exchange and the Refugees in which I plan on helping the Refugees. I also understand that bounty hunters including Mira is trying to hunt me.

I have a problem. There is a LOAD and I mean a LOAD of side quest on this planet. None in which has anything to do with a ID Code and Jedi Master...you know things that I NEED to be attending to. I have killed off the whole gang of the Asian guys, I killed off a bunch of Exchange Thungs but I for some damn reason cannot kill off that leader....the squid guy. I've walked around the whole place and seems as if the only people I talk to is offering me yet ANOTHER side mission. Help me find this person, help me find this, help me find that. I'm like DAMN what about the ID code, Jedi Master, and what about those damn bounty hunters I haven't ran into a pack of them yet. It is as if they are hidding from me. It is just pissing me off.

Before I saved the game and turned it off I ran into some gang near and inside my Ebon Hawk. I got rid of them and then I went to talk to Atton about what that Twi'lek said about him at the Refugee sector. Then I saved it and turned it off.

It is just seeming like there is a whole bunch of other **** going on in this planet that has NOTHING to do with what I am supposed to be doing. This is just a planet full of side quest everywhere you turn. Do some of these side quest lead to where I need to go? If so tell me which ones. If not, then just point me in the right direction.

  11. I know it has to be my disk cause I tried it on two different Xboxes so it isn't the Xbox.

See I start a game file on TSL. I save it and turn it off. My brother comes and starts his own game file. When he is done he went to save it. There he when he tried to save it I saw that it said "Save New" or "New game" or some **** like that. I was like where the hell is my file at? So I told him to goto load game and he went and my file wasn't there.

So I tested this over and over. In final the thing is, once a file is saved and someone starts a new game, the file saved prior before is no longer there.

I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this?

  12. Okay I'm on the part on Telos where I just found out that my Ebon Hawk was stolen. From there I'm dumb as a bag of rocks. I have no idea about what the hell am I supposed to do. So from here, what AM I supposed to do. I talked to that droid and he said that the Exchange place in 082 is a front. So I go there and kill the Rodian dude that is guarding that Exchange door on 082. Nothing happens. I try to open the door....it is still locked. So I use that little panel to the left and a lady says over and over again that the door cannot be opened from this computer or some **** like that.

My journal entry which is titled "Ebon Hawk Stolen!" says that I should contact the Exchange about this situation. Well WHERE THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM AT?

The only place I know of where the Exchange is, is that door but I can't get by it.

What do I do from here?
