For such a successful game, I don't see why not. Myabe they won't support mods, but it will still be a good thing to fiddle around with.

Now that I think about it, this would definently have to take place on a sophisticated world. This card game has to have SOME class to it.

Also, just to make it interesting, someone can offer you a way to cheat, abseloutely free of charge. If you take up his offer, you'd actually be banned from entering that tournament for being caught.

The prize can be like 100 for the first match, 500 for the second, 1000for the third, 1500 for the fourth, and 2000 for the fifth.

Teaching a new game may not be as wise, but I guess it could work. Sabaac obviously would be good, but apparently it has not been invented yet. I think we should stick to Pazaak.

This would have to be kinda like the dueling rings, where you could take a break in between matches.

For one of the optional challenges, there could be a World Series of Pazaak! Basically, a tournament of the game, Pazaak. Thoughts?

Actually, Almost none should come back. Say I killed Bastila, then she came back in K2, I would be really POed. I don't know how drastic the storyline will change from what you say in the beginning, but it would be a risk.
