  1. I got a hologram of Carth (entitled "Admiral Carth") at the exit ramp of the Ebon Hawk as a result of trying to get T3 to play the message. He won't say or do anything, though. I also had Atton stand at the landing platform at Nar Shadaa, despite the fact that I also had him in my party. Now that one, I actually could talk to and he acted just like the "real" Atton.

I tried getting screenshots, but all I got was the background. For some reason, the characters were not in it. Not sure what that was about.

  2. You know that that philosophy is one of the main parts of Communism, right?

(I'm KIDDING! don't take that one seriously, OK?)

I fail to see how that is one of the "main" parts of communism. Regardless, if it was inteded as an insult (joke or not), I feel that I must inform you that using communism as an insult is somewhat silly. There is nothing wrong with communism, except that it doesn't really work given the human nature. People like to think that communism means oppression and despotism, when it's actually quite the opposite. Communism is in essence about everyone owning everything, whereas most of the so-called communist states today and in history are or were rather a form of extreme capitalism (the government owns everything). A true communist state will if anything be more democratic than anything we have today.

    I wouldn't say I'm a communist, I don't believe it'll work. It's a nice thought, though.

As for my thoughts on this particular issue (the game), I've given up on trying to be fair a long time ago. Instead, I have, with a fair amount of success, focused on being equally unfair.

  3. So, if some are screwed, let's screw everyone just to make it fair?

More or less, yes. Some people paid for the Xbox game, others for the PC. It was fairly clear that both would be the same game, it'd be pretty unfair to change that later on just because some people are unhappy with it. Well unless you want to handle refunds and trade in Xbox version for the PC version.

  4. I think you can get all you need from Mira just by talking to her. I'm not sure if persuade/charisma have an effect (I didn't notice it), but I just got it without any outside help. You might need one more point if persuade/charisma does affect it, though.

I haven't managed to talk HK-47 into opening up, though. He required two or three influence points in-game as well before his speaker started broadcasting.

  5. I'll ask your opinion again when you finish the game, Aegis.. trust me, you'll go from joy to anger.

I've gone through it three times, actually. I wasn't talking about the ending, I was talking about how people go nuts about a fairly innocent comment and jump to the conclusion that the people at Obsidian are horrible people just because they don't like the game. If they want to dislike the game, fine. I have some issues with it myself, actually. But I don't think that means they can take a comment and twist it so it'll fit their agenda, when it's actually quite possible that it means the exact opposite.

  6. I have a question though. The precognition power you get at the beginning of the game (the one from Kreia when you sense the droids in the room) is that totally useless? I never came across it again! (neither did I come across Atton's danger sense thing)

I was thinking about that the other day, actually. I never saw those again either, though I stumbled across them when looking at my feats quite a while later.

  7. Well, Mandalore is a pretty bad example to be honest. I've barely managed to squeeze a bit of information out of that one (from this game alone, that is), and I have no idea how to get more. Canderous would at least tell you some fairly interesting stories if you asked him.

I went easy on the spoilers. It doesn't really say anything, but just in case:

HK-47 got quite a lot to say, but I had to work on him quite a lot too. The last tier of dialogue (that I know of) is not that interesting either unless you're homicidal. The rest is worth a look, though.

GO-TO didn't have a lot to say, but what he did say was fairly interesting. I had my suspicion about him before, but I'd recommend getting him to spill his guts.

Mira had something that could've been interesting, had it been developed a bit or something that lead up to it, but as it was, it just felt like it came out of the blue for no particular reason.

Atton was quite okay in the development and interaction department, actually (though I found him lacking as a love interest if you play female). I didn't see it comming, and it felt quite natural, but it was a bit generic. I felt like they tried to hard to make him special (when everyone is special, no one is). And I constantly forgot myself and thought of him as Carth.

Handmaiden was rather boring. There's some stuff about her family towards the end (not much) and some vague hints of romance, but not enough to make her interesting (and certainly nothing to make me overlook her haircut and voice *shudder*).

Visas was not very interesting either. There wasn't much I've found apart from what she tells you right from the start and an awkward, presumably romantic event towards the end that came very suddenly and left me more confused than anything. I liked the voice, though.

Bao-Dur was quite possibly the worst one. He was filled with some sort of generic rage that he barely showed, and suddenly decided that he wanted to be a jedi and that was pretty much it as far as I can tell.

T3 gave me as much personality as I would've expected from an inanimate object going "beep". There was some mildly interesting historical stuff (and I think I missed a dialogue option, I can't seem to find it now). There was something meditation-related you could get that made no sense at all to me as well.

I'll get Hanharr and the Disciple on the next go. I played a bit as female before but I screwed up with the Disciple and didn't bother to get it fixed, and I got Mira instead of Hanharr because, well, he's a big furball for God's sake. The Disciple always distracted me with that odd face of his, though, and I couldn't even imagine him as a love interest for my character.

  8. Er, are we talking about the puzzle where you have three tries to rotate a segment of a bunch of letters/numbers to match a code below? I thought it was kinda easy, got it the first time (well, second actually, because I misunderstood the goal at first).

The only puzzle I had any trouble with was the damn test at the sith academy. I kept getting three correct, and I always felt like I was certain about at least four of them. Took me a 5-10 minutes before I got that one done.
