March 17, 200916 yr I didnt see this posted anywhere, this is from the April edition of Game Informer mag: Gamers have waited eagerly for Sega's duo of games based on the Alien's franchise that should hit store shelves in early 2010. Unfortunately, Sega also announced that Aliens: Colonial Marines (developed by Borderlands' Gearbox Software) has been delayed. Despite being just announced, Aliens vs. Predator will come out before both Colonial Marines and the Obsidian-developed Aliens RPG. Recently, rumors about the two previously announced titles being cancelled have circulated the web. Sega confirmed that Aliens: Colonial Marines is still going forward, but the company won't comment on the Aliens RPG. The delay of Colonial Marines might not be good news for developer Gearbox, whose last title - BiA:HH - was pushed back several times before selling in low numbers. Aliens vs. Predator (working title) is being developed by Rebellion, the studio that worked on the first Aliens vs. Predator title back in 1999. Sega is saying little about the game at this point, although it seems multiplayer will be a focus. SEGANERDS #1 unofficial Sega News website

March 17, 200916 yr Sounds like a wait and see attitude to how well Alpha Protocol is received in the market before investing more trust in Obsidian's second product. Besides, it needs the reapings from AP to continue production for a second high budget game. So peeps, get Alpha Protocol as soon as its released. On the AvP game, the focus of the game being a multiplayer has me concerned since it will no doubt be an arcadey game with loose focus. Three factions in a multiplayer would work well in a deathmatch mode. However it misses the chance for having a tight teamwork goal focused multiplayer which actually helps to lengthen gameplay value or promotes online competitive gameplay via clan matches. March 20, 200916 yr Either way, I'm not looking forward to AVP3 at all. SEGA knows how to do everything to excite me...not. If I'm an ass, I should say so. If I don't, somebody else will. If I say it first, that disarms them.

April 11, 200916 yr I'm looking forward to AvP3! I'm not... Not because I don't like AvP, but more because I don't trust Rebellion to do a good job, alot of reasons for that, none of which I suppose I should talk about. I came up with Crate 3.0 technology. Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.Down and out on the Solomani RimNow the Spinward Marches don't look so GRIM!
April 11, 200916 yr Rebellion doesn't suck horribly. Hey now, my mother is huge and don't you forget it. The drunk can't even get off the couch to make herself a vodka drenched sandwich. Octopus suck.
April 11, 200916 yr To be honest, I doubt the quality of AvP 3 will be a defined moment as the very first AvP when it was released. I don't believe its being worked on by the same team by this time. The only name that remains the same is simply the company's name. Its a little worrying that based on the recent titles released by Rebellion, the game quality leaves much to be desired.
