Do multiple resistances of the same type stack?

So if I have a resistance against Might afflictions, I'm pretty much immune to tier 1 Might affliction, tier 2 Might afflictions get reduced to tier 1 and tier 3 gets reduced to tier 2. So what happens if I have two resistances of the same type? Say I get might resist both from my race and my class, would they stack so that tier 3 would be reduced to tier 1 and tiers 1 and 2 wouldn't do anything, and if I manage to get a third resistance from gear, would that make me completely immune to Might Afflictions?
