So, there's this unnamed island which is located

at the very South West of the map

On this island are ruins called Sandswept Ruins, and an encounter event called Lowland Sands.

From here on, we're discussing said scripted encounter, spoiler.

During this encounter you can tell the group you've killed the 3 Eoten nearby (or not), and try to get money for the deed.

You can also attempt a number of nefarious actions :

- try to "steal the dwarf's dagger (sleight of hand, 5 is too low)

- go in the back and rummage through their belongings (stealth, failed with 9, worked with 11, just vanilla supplies is all)

- talk them into giving you supplies (bluff ?)

The thing is, after attacking and killing said party, I fail to find any noticeable dagger at all.

Sure there is a Superb Dagger, but how is it any more noteworthy than the Legendary Wand that also drops ?

I'm pondering if I'm missing something here like a unique dagger one could steal from the dwarf with enough SoH, or if it's just the Superb Dagger.

Has anyone tried this interaction yet ?

Edit: solution below

Took a backup of my saves to avoid disabling achievements, gave myself +4 levels and enough SoH skill to steal the dagger.

Turns out it's indeed the Superb Dagger :'(

Does make the fight easier, I suppose.

But then, if you have invested enough in SoH to steal it, you're high level enough to shred these guys -.-
