Essential Phantom punching for blunt damage

As the title says, the 4th level wizard spell Essential Phantom is getting into melee range and punching enemies, dealing blunt damage to them. The spells description says that it should be dealing shock damage and from what I remember back in PoE1 it used to use a wand or something similar to stay at range. I've swapped Aloth's weapons to see if his default weapon was the reason but that didn't do anything. Hopefully it can be fixed.

Edit: Just noticed I posted this in the wrong forum. Is there a way to move it to PoE2 support forums?
