Game freezes every time I get to character creation menu, installed with steam, reinstalled twice, verified game files twice.

I have the exact same issue & tried the same solutions.

Hi systolicframe,

Could you provide us with your output log generated after the crash occurs? It would greatly help us in our investigation of your issue.

Please refer to this link if you need help locating the output log: https://support.obsidian.net/article/20-how-do-i-report-a-bug

Thanks,

Have had the same issues - hard crashes (black screen, looping sound, forced to do a hard reset) withing the first few minutes of play. After trying everything (graphics settings, windowed/fullscreen, rolling back GPU drivers etc), I managed to complete the character creation by switching to a lower resolution (1280x720) in "Windowed mode". I now suspect it might have to do with non-standard (i.e. 16:9) aspect ratio screens maybe - I'm running a 1920x1200 (16:10) monitor. I'll try reverting back to to 1920x1200 mode and see if the crashes resume - it's been completely stable in 1280x720 (haven't tried 1920x1080 yet) so far.

I have the exact same issue & tried the same solutions.

Got further now - until i came to the beach scenario, then the action froze, while the dialogue continued.

Sorry guys - i got my game refunded via steam, i don't have time for gametesting.
