In this game, we get the opportunity to play a returning native of the Deadfire. Do you think that this possible homecoming will be adressed at all?

Don't know about a homecoming but there sure do seem to be a lot of dialogue options in the beta for watchers with the Deadfire background when dealing with the Huana.

I have no doubt that there will be many short lines/references to your Deadfire background, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for anything major.

That's what I'm thinking too. It will be addressed, but they can't possible have a super elaborate backstory for ever possible combination. There are just way too many backgrounds and origin stories in the game!
