Hello Obsidian Community!

Just wanted to ask for some clarification about the backer beta. I purchased the Obsidian Edition of Deadfire through Steam and was lead to the assumption that i get access to the beta as the "Game Download" bonus for this type of purchase. Posts from the Steam announcement state you do gain access to the beta and is handled through the obsidian website. The website itself has no means of me verifying my Steam account. So my question is do I get access and Steam is buggy or i have to purchase a second copy through the website to help with the games development?

Game Download means - game download. You get the game, which you can download on April the 3rd. Plus expansions once they are done after release and all the other goodies.

 

Backer beta was part of fig campaign and ability to back the game ended earlier this week, before announcing release days, and opening preorders. Someone might clarify it, but I don’t think there is a way to get access to backer beta anymore.
