Are you still allowed to back the game? I don't know what is going on, but when I go to the pledge area it automatically scrolls to the bottom of the screen so I cannot pick a pledge.

Yes. I went to the link clicked the large red button that says pledge and when I try to see the different pledges it scrolls to the bottom of the page. When I scroll back up it just pushes the page back down. It's rather odd.
