Game says it can't switch resolution

I can't play Pillars of Eternity for a reason I've never seen before. When I start it up in Steam, where I bought it, the game cycles then brings up an error message about how it has tried to switch resolutions and can't. This accompanies a crash. Help?

Hi i got the same Problem but i solved it. It has to do with the scaling of the GPU. You have to change the scaling it in your drivers.

Configure browser push notifications
Chrome (Android)
  1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
  2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings.
