I am back up and running with yesterday's update.  Thanks guys!

To all those  still affected by the bug, try turning off Android's automatic backup feature before you reinstall the game.

Works like a charm! Thanks Devs!

After Auto backup deactivated, reboot and reinstalling the game several times.

 

Still fails the connection to my google play account. But compare to last time, It try 3 times to connect then launch the game in 'offline mode' ("link social gaming network" in the top left of the screen) 

 

No sign of all my pogression.
