Sajan uses his Unarmed Strike, but the system does not allow me to use both Amulet of Mighty Fists and Improved Sage's Journal. I know AoMF says you cannot play a spell with the attack trait or weapon with it, but I/Sage's Journal is an item with book and elite, nothing else. 

 

Happened with Sajan on Goblin equipment set in Attack on Sandpoint, heroic difficulty.

You can only use one card of each type in the same check, so you can not use two items in the same check. Easy to forget because those items Are so different.
