New characters and adventure paths?

I love this game! I find myself playing instead of doing anything remotely productive which is the sign of a gamer's purest joy. However, I am through most of the game now and was wondering if there was any plan to see additional expansions. Skulls and Shackles would be awesome, and I REALLY want to play my favorite character, Shardra. Obsidian, if you're out there, please give me hope.

It is true that news has been a little quiet lately.  

 

However, the last time that the question came up, the answer was along the lines of: "We're committed to releasing the Rise of the Runelords adventure path, and would really like to continue releasing other content if we're able."

 

The next big milestone in the lifecycle of this app is the coming release on Steam.  We'll all have to see where things go after that.
