Dreams and Memory, The Trials of Durance Help

So this is technically not the right forum, as I'm not asking for combat strategy advice, but quest advancement advice. More directly, what are the minimum triggers for getting these two quests to advance? I want to travel as little as I can with either Durance or Grieving Mother, but I also want to complete their quests. 

 

So, what's the easiest way to do so? I realize I need to reach Act 3 and I'll need to complete Teir Evron for Durance. I've done both quests before, but I kept both of them with me the entire game then.
