Xaratas Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 @Obsidian As you have learned from PoE that easy access to the resources is needed for a thriving modding community, can you set up a file structure to fetch/generate the audio for the line of a conversation? I am thinking of adding files like 192_npc_Aurora.ogg in the folder /conversations/01_something/voice and then the game would just play it if it display node/line 192. I don't know how crazy the community can go, but for Skyrim they have done an incredible amount of new high quality audio. So i hope this can happen here too. 8 More modding for PoE II | How to Work with Stringtables
Adam Brennecke Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 That's a good idea and I'll keep that in mind if/when we make changes to the VO pipelines. Thank you! 8 Follow me on twitter - @adam_brennecke
injurai Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I'll personally probably stick with the stock VO, but I want to say this is a really cool idea. 2
peardox Posted June 27, 2018 Posted June 27, 2018 I just asked a Dev a similar Q Can we change SFX? The problem with VO is it'd sound amateur and prob always be English. I reckon the SFX would be a good idea - you only need one file. I mean, imaging TT1's Dead Parrot being equipped and saying 'Squawk' should be an achievable target (I've prob got a SFX in my library that'd work for a test) OK Fair warning has been applied I'm gonna move the domain to https://perspak.com early Feb but will keep all content There are reasons behind this move which basically boil down to unifying my release schedule My friends are welcome to play (I'll set you up your own areas if you desire them) Please note that this process is messy so may take a few weeks
