Chapter 6 first fight issues

Question

iPad 3, iOS 10 (newest update too), PFID: 7a601aa1f23721

I am playing at normal difficulty, regular single player, got the season pass, Dwarf, fighter, wizard, cleric, sorceress and monk. Just started on the final chapter and began the Wendigo episode. First encounter was the Harpy and the game wouldn't let me start the encounter. When I tapped the sword icon (to battle), it looked like it was to start but the combat never initiated. I tried to Forfeit the game and start over, I saw the Harpy card tag along in every screen as if it was just drawn from the encounter deck. This continued until I restarted the app and the Harpy card eventually went away. I started the adventure back up again and was about to draw the first encounter card, and no card was drawn even though the battle sword was displayed as if a fight was about to start.

I am not sure what went wrong or why the game is not letting me play. I've loved the chapters and challenges so far and really digging the game. I really hope you guys can help me fix this issue so I can complete the game and get on the next difficulty.

Thanks for your help and making a great game!

This is an issue that should have been fixed with the latest patch, but it appears as though there are still problems (see also: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/90892-the-harpy-dilemma/).

You could try the following, but I don't know whether it will work since you can't see the Harpy card any more:

  1. Begin a scenario.
  2. Encounter the first card, which I guess is an invisible Harpy.
  3. Hit the battle sword.
  4. Forfeit the game.
  5. Hit continue once you run out of time.
  6. When you get to the screen where you can see your characters' decks, hit "View All".
  7. Look through each character and see if they have a Harpy (or a blank space if the Harpy is invisible... which may be tricky!) in their deck.
  8. If not, try to drag the invisible card into a character's deck. I guess the card will be in the upper right, where encountered banes usually reside.
  9. If/when you manage to get the card into a character's deck and can see it with "View All", you can discard it by dragging it down to the bottom of the screen, like you would do normally when you have too many cards at the end of a scenario and have to decide which ones to get rid of.

Otherwise you could try e-mailing support@obsidian.net, which may get a response quicker than on here. Sorry you're having issues and good luck getting it fixed!
