Do saved games not sync if created using a different OS?

I started a game on windows and have restared steam several times in linux but the games from windows are never synced. Is there some reason why you can't use a game started on windows on linux that woud be preventing the sync?

Different folders names. It should be possible to manually copy the saves from one directory to the other.

The steam sync only works in the same os. You need to copy them manually between Windows to Linux, and as suen said watch the foldername for Case. PillarsofEternity vs PillarsOfEternity.
