So I killed the Alpine Dragon and rested in his lair with Ryona's Breastplate unlocking its final level, however now I've found Triggered Immunity has been awarded permanently even when I change equipment, rest or reload (though it's not listed on my character sheet).

 

I can upload a save if necessary, but I'm guessing it isn't tricky to replicate. I have a save right before the Alpine Dragon and didn't really find him difficult so I'll reload at that point and this time not level up Ryona's Breastplate to bypass the bug on my end.
