Now when I start the game, at the farm, I get a tablet error that says something like you need to be online to sign in to Google play account.

Then I get another error that says Pathfinder Adventures has encountered an error and needs to shut down.

The tablet has been online with this version of the game.

Never seen this error prior to this update.

We just tested a tablet here that has no internet connection and was able to play the game offline. Could you please upload some screenshots of the errors that pop up?

I'm sure you've done this arleady but, does deleting the cache for google play games and play services resolve the issue? Perhaps a device restart? 

It no longer is a problem.

Once I went online again, it works fine online or off.
