I seem to be backwards - before the latest update, I could go into quest mode, although I only tried it once or twice. After the update, when I go into quest mode, instead of random adventures, I just get a different version of story mode, with the set villains, henchmen, etc. I've tried several things, including restarting my whole iPad. I think I have an iPad 3 ... I have not tried uninstalling and re-installing the game yet. I was afraid this would erase my saved parties.

 

I can't find anything resembling this issue anywhere else ... any suggestions?

I'm not sure what could be wrong with your game but if you know how to back up your save file you can paste back the files after you have reinstalled the game.

Thanks! I gave up and just re-installed. I don't have the ability to get the save files, but I decided I was ok with starting over. I do with there was some way to delete a save from quest mode like there is in story mode. I'm pretty sure the quest mode save file was corrupted and if I could have deleted it and started over, I might have been able to save my other parties.

The patch will be out this week so at least we shouldn't face this lock up issue any more. Have fun.
