I'm not sure this is a problem or an intended feature but to me it doesn't seem right. Compare these 2 AoEs:
You can see how on the first screenshot the whole inner circle of the AoE (Pillar of Faith) is taken up by the creature. My Priest has pretty high Int score(21) and still most of the aoe is lost due to the size of the target. That's not even a big creature. Ice trolls, ogres, dragons, some bigger slimes take up 100% of the aoe which means spells like that with a small radius around a target are useless versus big creatures.
As I said, I'm not sure if it's intended so ignore this thread if this seems ok to you.
