[BUG] 3.01 and 3.02-beta - Bounty quest advances stronghold by EIGHT turns

Question

Posted (edited)

FALSE POSITIVE

DESCRIPTION

--

In Stalwart, turning in "Bounty: Magran's Faithful" to Asca completes a whopping EIGHT stronghold turns.

Before turning in, I have Legendary Adventure "A Glass Tree" active with 4 turns remaining.

After turning in, it's completed.

Before turning in: turn 179 done, actual 180

After turning in (and not taking any subsequent bounties, I immediately exit dialogue) : 186 done, actual 187

ENVIRONMENT

--

This is vanilla with no mods, patched to 3.02-beta but the bug happens on 3.01 as well.

This is a clean install from 2 days ago.

This is an old save from summer 2015, before 3.0 and WM.

HOW TO REPRODUCE

--

100% reproducible, with the same savegame.

Afraid I have no other saves to try reproducing on.

ATTACHMENTS

--

Screenshots before/after.

Output log.

No savegame since it's 16MB and the forums won't let me.

Edit: oh well, can't seem to edit the title -.-

Hey dam,

Not all quests give the same amount of turns. We give more turns per quest in PX2 since there are less quests in PX2 than PX1. When you are given turns it is possible to get decimals of turns. The stronghold system will keep track of these and add up an additional turn when it reaches a full number.

I hope that clears that up for you.

@dam Use this site for savegame uploading. https://www.sendspace.com/ It has nothing nasty attached.

I would then suggest a deeper look in this savefile, with 16 MB i have the feeling there is quite a lot of bloat in it.

Well, the savegame predates 3.0, it may even predate 2.0 altogether.

It is, indeed, plagued with very long load times.

I suspect it has to do with the awful amount of loot I've sold to vendors, which does have to be stored somehow.

Not when it hasn't dropped yet, which is why as you progress through the game, quicksave/quickload and autosave takes so much longer; until it is roughly 25-30 seconds and you decide to reroll a new playthrough -.-

I see, I was thinking you meant something else.

A 16MB savegame seems a bit too big.

On my turn 163, after the WM 1 & 2, and well in chapter 3, mine is 8.5MB.

Could be completely normal, or maybe some bug inflating your saves.

When entering the Iron Flail map, on 13/03/2016 at 01:02 AM : 11,187kbytes

When entering Ionni Brathr fragment, on 17/03/2016 at 12:40 PM : 16,493kbytes

I very seriously suspect all the excess loot and garbage to have a role in this o_o

If saves are packed like Infinity Engine's were, then the saves contain each map, including characters, their position, their inventory...

Including shops, and their inventory as well.

And with all the junk I've accumulated from dem weeks of adventuring all 'round , I'm tellin' ye, that there be the extra garbage, all 12+ mbytes of it !
