[bug report] Wildcard Powers behaving oddly

Story Mode (Lini, Lem, Harsk, Mirisiel), No Pass and Play, No Permadeath

Painful Memory: "If you acquire a spell, item, or blessing, bury a card"

This also triggers when an ally is acquired.

This power also sometimes doesn't trigger.

Conjecture:

I believe are related to banes that add to the check difficulty (Bunyip for example). I see these increase in check difficulty powers listed where the wildcard powers usually are sometimes.

It's possible other powers are also behaving this way, but I don't check the challenge rating closely enough to be sure.
