I'm trying to finish his quest but I have no idea how to get to gem (disarm traps) mentioned by the ghost. 
 
I talked to an antelope (couldn't save it), I gave water to that thirsty guy still 
 
Any help what to do next?

It's not about disarming traps. Fields covered by a kind of red mist are trapped, and the mist appears and disappears in a sequence. So just step in when there's no red colour, and press further before it appears again; )

I just tanked through the traps myself

This never happened before but Zahua is not starting the quest. I'm already in the second part of the WM.

 

EDIT: Solved. I had to get through all of his dialogue over again, despite them being greyed out. New conversation options kicked in.
