After reading the High Abbot's notebook and ascertaining that a sign needs to be performed in front of the wall with panels, the option to select said sign in scripted interaction does not appear (only the default "inspect" and "arrange" options appear).  

I've also read The Giftbearer's Notebook.  

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have to apologise - after reading your suggestion, I tried the combination once again (and got the order correct this time) and the option to perform the sign and then finish the scripted interaction worked.  

I gave up after a few attempts as I thought that an option to perform the sign should appear before and not after arranging the panels.
