Why the heck this shield should grant to the main character a total defense of +19 (visible in the deflection breakdown as +14 and additional +5)?

Hello Anelor,

 

What you are seeing are bonuses from the shield, shield's aura, and weapon and shield style. 

 

Outworn buckler + Aura + Talent (8 + 5 + 6) = 19.

 

Hope that clears it up for you!
