Hi

I was in level 9 of od nua and things were going fine. I was having some issues with one of my characters not attacking but I though it was just dodgy ai. This lead me to getting wiped and so I had to reload, to a quicksave earlier on that floor. Now I can't enter combat at all. I can walk right up to enemies and nothing happens. I can't attack them and they won't attack me, they just stand where they are. So I reloaded a earlier save, and the issue was still there. I reloaded a save a few hours back, outside of od nua and the problem remains. I have left it and gone to a different area and the problem remains.

I have just found out that I can manually attack enemies if I use the attack button and it enters combat. The enemies still can't attack or move or do anything though. If I stop the attacks then it will just end the combat after a few moments. I can also attack allies and non enemies but the result is the same. I can also talk to neutral people, have conversations and rest/camp. Pellegina's paladins aura also will only her and doesn't affect allies, doesn't matter if I turn it on or off.

 

I have tried to restart pillars, to restart steam, to verify files, dismiss and rehire the party and that doesn't seem to work. I have got a save about 5-6 hours back and that seems to work but I really don't want to go back that fair. Anyone got any ideas what I could do? I would attach the files but the saves are about 3 mb and it won't allow it.

I have also noticed that when I enter stealth it has the red circle around me, like I'm spotted. It will then fade back to yellow warning, to green and then go. It might be some invisible npc or something. It also seems only to be the saves that are on the ninth floor of od nua are affected, so lucky for me its not as bad as I first thought. Only lost a hour, so thank goodness for that. I have to be special and get a problem opposite from most.

 

I will try tomorrow to recreate the issue.

Thank you for getting me those files. We had a previous bug with that was experiencing the same issue as you and I have uploaded those files to that bug. Luckily you have an older save that still works and didn't have to backtrack to much.

I have just found out that I have another save that is affected. Its the 10.53 am one, also I added it to the dropbox. It seems that only my main character, the dwarf barbarian, is affected. He does start off with being charmed, so that might be a factor. It also seems to be only the saves on level 8 and 9 of od nua. He also seems to not want to be selected at the start with the select all button until you click on him manually even when the charm has ended. I have tried to recreate the issue, but I have just managed to clear level 8 again without encountering the issue. I think the issue must begin with the earliest save, the 10.53 one. 

 

Well I can get past those sections now so I'm not too worried anymore. I'll just continue on like it never happened. I'll keep the saves and that just in case. When you don't need the dropbox stuff anymore just yell/post in this thread, I'll keep a eye out for it.

p.s Also a small bug I just remembered, when I first start pillars and load into a save, when I first look at the stronghold actions tab/section the quest section always says assign even if someone already has been. If you click on it it does the recall. When you switch out and back into that section it fixes itself and says recall.
