If you and your opponent tie on the first round, the entire match resets (i.e. you pay another 50cp and he "lets you go first because you're new").

 

Also confirmed that if you tie the first round a second time, it will reset again. Got 150cp riding on this now

 

 

EDIT: as suspected, I only won 100cp (his 50 plus my 50). The other 100 I dropped is now gone
