exiledtyrant Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I was wondering how high my saves have to be to counter the paralyzing wail spam Banshes do and what save the Adra Dragon's breath targets? My character right now have 80-90+ saves for my tanks and 70-80 saves for my dps but they still get chain paralyzed. The Od Nua spirit fight in particular was especially drawn ou due to paralyze being spammed over and over. I am also not sure what save I should be stacking for the Adra dragon breath attack.
Undesirable Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) They need to be moderately high to mostly avoid being critically hit (70+), very high to be grazed more than hit (90+), and extremely high to be missed more often than grazed (120+?). Oh, and you'll need to add 20-30 points onto each of those if you happen to be fighting a dragon... On POTD you basically need to be a dragon to avoid being hit by trash mobs (130 in most saves) or disable enemies before they can do anything to you by charming, knocking them down or stunning them (this is reliable on all difficulties). Versus dragons in POTD you need to use every resting bonus, brothel bonus, food and potion buff you can get... and I suppose it's not a bad idea to do this in Hard mode if you're having problems. Dragon Breath attacks Reflex, Wing Slam attacks Fortitude. Edited October 23, 2015 by Undesirable 1
Ymarsakar Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Check the combat log and click to expand the hit line. If defense equals the enemy's accuracy, then it's 15% miss, 35% graze, 50% hit. Every acc point above the defense, is 1% critical chance added on. Most people find it easier to use an offensive strategy and cc, using stuns or paralyze, the enemies so they stop doing whatever they are doing to attack you.

I have wiped the floor with all the dragons on path of the dammed without any resting bonuses, food bonuses, potions or scrolls or by using any cheese tactics. I found them incredibly easy to kill. I just depends on how much you understand your capabilities and the enemies AI.
Undesirable Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I'm sure some people do find it a "cakewalk". But you must admit that when a dragon hits your entire party for 200+ corrode damage when most mobs hit for less than half that... suddenly the player is thrown in the deep end and any prior preparation may help to survive a couple of dragon breaths in case a dice roll fails. Oh hell, I'll just say it: the dragons aren't a bloody cakewalk!
