This occurred after the auto-update to v2.1 on Steam. When over-writing a saved game, you get a pop-up box that asks if you want to over-write. On that pop-up box there are usually 2 white buttons on the bottom of the box, one for "yes" on the left side, and "cancel" on the right side. Those 2 white boxes are missing.

The same thing occurs when traveling the world map to a new area. You click on a location and get a pop-up box that says something like "it will take you 8 hours to travel to...", and there are supposed to be 2 small white buttons at the bottom of this box to accept or cancel, they are also missing.

Now the weird thing is, the popup box still functions, you just have to click on the area where the white buttons used to be to accept or decline. But the visual buttons do not exist. So, while still functional, the buttons/boxes have disappeared. For players that have played the game for a few hundred hours, you know where to click to accept or decline.

I can confirm that.

Hey Daver,

Chances are you need to perform a verify cache on steam. Go to you steam library, right-click Pillars of Eternity > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

If that doesn't work, could you upload a save file, screenshot and an output log so I can take a look?

Thanks a bunch!

Experiencing the same issue after 2.1.  But purchased from GOG, so can't do a cache verify on Steam.  Suggestions?

If you have the GoG Galaxy Client, you will be able to perform a verify/repair function with works like the steam equivalent.

We are aware of the issue though, but its extremely hard to reproduce.
