Very new player, so please forgive me if I ask something already answered (I did search, but not sure I used "proper keywords"....)

Sometimes when entering "dungeons", I will see a pair of ghostly figures standing near a door or other opening.  Hmmm.  I should have got a screenie - I'll try to do that tomorrow and add/edit/update this post with it.

Anyway, they stand there until I approach, then disappear through the nearest door or other entrance to another section of the dungeon.  I was wondering what these figures are?  Do they portend something important?  Are they there only for atmosphere?

Interesting game.  I'm enjoying it.

Hmm.  No one knows?  I tried to upload a screenshot but I guess I don't have enough posts yet.

I think that's set at five moderated posts for everything. It is for normal posting, so you're almost there. Keep discussing and posting and you'll be there in no time.

Okay, thanks Cantousent.  But I guess you don't know what I'm talking about with the ghosts?  Or is that something that's a huge spoiler and no one talks about it?

Sorry, I haven't been able to spend much time, so I'm just approving posts. Now that I've read it, I think it really *is* a good idea to include a screen shot. It sounds to me like some of the spirits that pop up after you've 'awakened' your watcher powers. These 'ghosts' don't always interact with you or even have floating text. They will usually disappear if you walk towards them. I don't want to say definitively without seeing the screen though. :Cant's wry grin icon:

Oh, thanks then!  I'll go see if I can get a screenie tomorrow (eh, it's late here and I'm OLD) and post it - assuming I'm free to do that now.  Thanks for your help, and have a great night!

Okay, took me a while, since I've had other things going on.  This is in Black Meadow at the Destroyed Cart, while on the quest The Smith's Shipment.

You'll find out doing the main quests why you're seeing ghosts and hearing things when fatigued.

Hmm.  Well, I wasn't fatigued at that point, and I've already finished the main quest (mostly - haven't actually gone to the final yet as I want to wait to get the xpac) - so I assume these are supposed to be part of the Watcher syndrome then?  I didn't actually get much about these figures, though the main quest info does talk about visions and so on.  Since one does have "soul visions" with fair frequency during the MQ parts of the story, I didn't consider these ghostly figures to be part of that.

I actually thought they were a foreshadowing of something....

In any case, thank you very much for your reply.  I'm thoroughly enjoying the game - just started a new playthrough.
