HI everybody,
First of all sorry for my rude english :)

So i have a really strange bug with Pillars of eternity. Every time when i play the game crash it can happen 5 minute after i start or 15 ou 30 there are no rules.
During the crash my screen was splitting and my speaker make an horrible and very acute sound like a sizzling.
I was forced to shut down the programme, most of the time i don't have a reportbug; But this time i got one !

An other thing important i suppose, after this crash happen i can't read a video with VLC there is the same sound et the image is full of pink and green small square. I can't go to google chrome too but microsoft edge is working. So i'm forced to restart my computer evry time, trust me it's boring :)

Normally my drivers are updated. I tested my RAM no trouble found. I try to check the integrity of the game cache some time he found a corrupted file but nothing change.

I really hope someone can help me cause i really don't understand what happend.

This is my crash report (from the most recent to the oldest) :

Bonjour Nibasa  ;) ,

The Unity engine has been having issues with Windows 10 and may be the problem you are currently experiencing right now. Please double check that all of your drivers are up-to-date, perform Windows Update regularly, and check to see if your BIOS has an updated version for windows 10. You can also try playing in compatibility mode. Try those options again and keep me posted!

Merci!

Hi,

thank for answering me :)

I have checked all my drivers all was ok, excepted my bios . Now it's updated i will try and i keep you posted.

For the issues with windows 10 i'm not sure to be concerned because this bug already happen when i was on windows 8.1

Edit: Even after the bios update the bug is still here :(

Hi,

I have updated all my drivers and the bug is still happen even if i use compatibility mode :(

I really don't know what to do.

Thanks

Hello Nibasa,

I almost want to say it could be your video card since you said you had this problem with windows 8.1. Do you have this problem with any other games? Do you have another video card to test it to see if that is your issue?

Also, have you tried verifying your game cache?  Give that a try and see if that resolve your issue. In your Steam library right click on Pillars of Eternity -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache (Pillars Of Eternity - > Propriétés -> Fichiers locaux - > Vérifier l'intégrité du cache du jeu).

Hope that works!

Hi,

I try to verifying my game cache but all is ok.

I have the same bug with the game "Endless space" but only this one. For exemple The witcher 3, dying light or all blizzard games works perfectly.

I don't have an other video card :s what kind of trouble it can be ?

Thanks

Hello again,

I think the Unity Engine is the culprit here. Pillars of Eternity and Endless Space both use the Unity engine which Windows 10 has been having problems with. Its nothing we can do on our end unfortunately. There should be a new update for Unity in the next few months.

Thank you for your support and patience, I wish I could have been more helpful.
