Hi,

I was testing different factors to see which might affect spell accuracy, and in the process, something odd happened.

I have uploaded a screenshot which shows a final roll on a spell as 41 (Miss). AFAIK a 41 should be a graze. I have also uploaded the save file from just before I did the testing (ok, I had to switch my grimoire to include the spell being tested first), and a combat log. Be aware that I did reload the game to do one other test before uploading the combat log.

The possibilities I can think of that might explain this situation are:

1) Maybe there are factors affecting spell accuracy not reflected in the combat log

2) Maybe Shadows have some incoming graze-to-miss conversion not reflected in the combat log

3) Maybe the only bug is in the game somehow deciding that a 41 is a miss

Here are the uploads on Dropbox.

Update: Explained, not a bug after all, see below.

Hey Nobear,

You are correct to assume that a 41 should be a graze, however when you attacked, the shadow was casting Instant Teleport which would cause you to miss. If you look at the bottom of the combat log in your screeshot, you will see it there.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

So it was a possibility I didn't even think of. Well, good to have an explanation. Knowing that things are working reliably makes me feel better about optimizing my character and pressing forward. Thanks!
