[2.0 Beta] - Identified exploit (bug?)

Featured Replies

Description:

As combat does not break stealth, it appears a cipher casting 'Antipathetic Field' (which can be cast out of combat and has a range further then detection) can kill enemies without being engaged. I am not sure if other abilities with large range, are also affected.

I'm not sure if it's really a bug, but I thought I should report it. Perhaps casting any ability should break stealth?

Also noticed rogue 'back stabbed' multiple times as wasn't breaking stealth but haven't been able to work out how to replicate.

I suspect ability usage 'should' break character stealth?

Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

- Cipher in stealth cast 'Antipathetic Field' from distance.

- Does not break stealth

- Watch out of detection range as the enemies stay still and die.

Thank you :)

Sorry update. :)

It is not only Antipathetic Field. Anything that is not "Combat Only".

it seems cipher abilities when used in stealth, do not break stealth for the cipher.

(When other ranged magic casters use abilities there stealth is broken immediately. So it appears to be a Cipher only)

added screenshots for clarification. In these it shows casting from stealth, remaining in stealth and the enemies dying without reaction.

Thanks, I hope this helps. :)

Hi there,

Turns out this only applies to spells that do not cause direct damage to an enemy. Thanks for pointing this out, I've gone ahead and added this issue to our database to be sent to the proper department.

Thanks for your support.
